  1. I felt the same impressions about the bike when he was here at the house, took it apart and did some prep work to it. The quality of the new parts looked very good. Other than I didn't have any desires to ride it as at the time it was 5 degrees here and about 6 inches of snow. It did sound good. I'm guessing the K carb has something to do with the smooth bottom. I'm looking forward to getting mine in or around 3 weeks, tick tock. I have a customers 2010 Access in the garage that i'm interested in riding saturday, it came with a 28mm oval slide delorto on it, sound familiar !

  2. Most trailers come with .030 aluminum skin, I think it's well worth the investment to pay a little more and get .040 or .050 outer skin. I've been told by a few guys that have used aluminum framed trailers for car haulers that aluminum frame is nice but over time it will fatigue at the weld joints just like copie was talking about.

  3. Not sure about the 03 , but the 09 I have, I took the bushings off of both sides and there was no circlip or groove for one on the bottom, there is a machined lip on one side so the bearing or bushing what ever you want to call it comes out the opposite side. I used a couple of sockets and a vise to press the old out and the new one in. Took about 5 minutes once the shock was off the bike.

If I remember right the 2010 had a little more room to get the shock out. Yes Copie I said 2010, get ready you know your going to want my hand-me-down !

  4. Things to check- like said above check the forks for any nicks, any nicks could have cut the new seal while installing it. Also you could have cut the seal while slipping the seal over the top of the tube. A piece of plastic cling over the top of the tube with a little seal grease helps. Check for proper oil height ?

  5. Patric stopped by the house with his 2010 friday night and stayed till sunday morning giving me a chance to take an in depth look at the new bike and it is well made. Took it apart to see how the new design is put together. A far as the gas tank I can see were it would be thought to be a problem but I had no problem filling it with a two gallon plastic gas can. You just have to take your time fill slowly and check often.

  6. There is a difference from looking at a photo and actually seeing one. All I can state from is I had one in yesterday and went through it to prep it for Patric Smage and can say Sherco did a nice job on there new model.

  7. Pat didn't have time for Tish right now, I tried ! He left for Arizona this morning, he can't wait to ride it and will be back this way at the end of February, then we will go to Tish and a few other places in this area to practice.

Took some photos of the new bike, spent all day servicing it for him, so I took it apart front to back. Like the airbox, frame is narrow up top, balances nicely. To blasted cold for me to go ride so i'll have to wait for mine. Copie i'll send you some photos, sorry I don't have one of those $1000 cameras like you so the sony will have to do.

  8. Spike there is no magic setting. My last 3 have been about 1 7/8 turns out. My suggestion to you would be to get a fuel screw like Jitsie sells that way you can reach it and see how much you have turned it. To do this it is easier to install by taking the carb off, might as well go thru and clean the carb while it is off. I think you will be happy after this. With the fuel screw accesable now you can make small changes till it is right. Have fun and enjoy!

  9. I'll do my best to describe the adjustment screw. As you turn the screw in and out it moves a rod that goes down the center of shaft. The slot end that you turn has an o-ring on it as a seal that you cant see unless it is broken and you have the piece in your hand. If the screw comes completely out it's broke, and I have seen this. It you have turned the adjustment screw out till it lightly bottoms and you screw it bask in to see where it was at no problem you want lose anything.

  10. Clive good job ! Thumbs up. Copie i'm in between breaking something so i'm riding the sherco in the garage, are you still standing or did you just fall over ! And have a 2010 coming. Ok Copie , you need the smelling salt. Having a blast.
