Right, cheers, ill be back soon when i get everything sorted, i might want the footage within about 2 weeks fingers crossed, i dont have a penny left at the moment
well ive had the carb to bits and the floats were free. they could move on there support easily. compressor unfortuantly was being lent to a mate for his bike, really slow puncture on the front.
no hurry though as i was out on the bike earlier and have ripped the valve clean out the tube on the back, arent using tubeless due to slight rim damage, have done this several times now, dont know how
i think theres something about reserve it lets a smaller amount of fuel through to make it last as long as possible. Mine runs fine, then on reserve it has what i call a ride like #@$% feature, just to remind you to top up, try starting it in reserve, then give it a quick ride, turn to normal supply and try again, this should make a fair bit of difference.
Most importantly - The bike seems to be using alot of fuel, im running 80 ml's of the ipone strawberry stuff per 5litres of unleaded. The bike doesnt tickover either, could this be due to the same thing making the bike use more fuel. Any ideas whatsoever please.
The fan does not switch off but rather runs constantly. Could this be causing the above problems by needing to take extra power from the flywheel to keep it running, then using extra fuel to compensate for this, i dont really know, just giving it my best shot.
You could always do what i done to start with. Use a small rock, or long but narrow in diameter pole, lie it on the ground infront of your front tire, ride over it slowly then as the back wheel hits it you only need small bits of brake to get the bike up, try keeping it on but at about half pressure, just allowing the bike to move slightly forward.
As for swinging the bike around try this one a bit faster. Say 10MPH or 16KPH then as the back end comes up keep your balance right and avoid going over the bars, then put as much force on the front tire as possible and turning your bars in a quick jerky motion. When you become better at this, do what i done. Put a fizzy drinks can on the ground and try to swing your back end onto it. Then get a new one and try again but at a different posistion so you learn to spin the bike a certain amount of degrees. Then perfect this technique, thats the part i havent been able to do yet as i came off yesterday practicing and burst my front brake line, not happy.
Thinking about it, i dont reckon he did get on well with it.
he normally finishes on top five in the scottish, but not this year, mind neither did Jarvis on a 320 4 popper, maybe not a great bike for this neck of the woods.
Well then, i know theres already been a few topics about this bike but for some reason i cant find them,
I was on bebo the other day, just scrolling through and i went on to Gary Macdonalds page. Gary has just bought the special edition aniversary bike and has some excellent pics of it, and him on it.
