    I have a gasser txt 280 and the rear tyre is getting worn, im thinking of turning the tyre round to get fresh edges.

    Is this a normal practice or am i just a tight yorkshire man.

    If there is any reason this shouldnt be done, i would be pleased to hear the reasons against.

  2. Eh op im looking for insurance for my gasser,ive heard of TPFT laid up and accidental damage cover is that what i should be looking for ?

    Or is there another type of policy thats better.

    contact for BBSA sm.bullock@btinternet.com .They are holding a trials on 10th may at cookes wood, sorry but i dont know where it is till they publish it in T+mx news .They also hold a weekend trial at bills farm in rhodessia 15-16th august.

    Directions for pit tip into blyth to A1 towards bawtry take 1st left to harworth big layby on left. If you forward your e-mail address can give better instructions better to be safe.....

  4. Hi there ive noticed that there is slight movement on the front forks (steering )play when i pull the front wheel,while holding the bike. Does this mean a bearing as gone ? or it needs an adjustment ? If i do require bearings can anyone tell me the size that i need.

    Just came a cropper and smashed rear mudgaurd,is there anybody out there who knows where i will be able to purchase a replacement (red).

    I have my first trials on sunday so needs must. I live in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

    Nervous to start with, dont want to stand out, the bloke that turned up with no rear mudgaurd....

    So any phone numbers or contacts welcome.

    sorry its been while getting back to you.I was struggling to rectify the problem, so i took the fork to local trials shop,where the mechanic found the bolt at the bottom of the fork was rotating with fitting inside the fork,he finally released the nut and took out the bottom end,no problems found relaced all parts, and managed to tighten up the bolt at the bottom of the fork. filled with new oil checked the damper everything o k.

    thanks for video link..i have taken fork apart the spring seems fine no marks of wear and in one piece..but the oil was black and dirty so i was wondering if that could be the problem ?

    the oil may have lost its elastisity (if thats the correct term )

    sorry it is txt 280 limited edition 03 model. i will like you say have to dismantle to check the spring. i replaced fork seals a few months ago,new oil reccomended amount, didnt notice any wear on springs. will let you know what i discover.

  9. hi there ive just hit a problem while out practicing the front suspension just dropped bottomed out, i can push the suspension right to the bottom,it does return but very easy to push down to the bottom, i have checked seals they seem ok,there is no sgn of oil anywhere on the forks or on the legs.

    is there anyone who could advise me on the problem, and hopefully with your help i can solve it........ ;) cheers dave....
