Thanks a mill for your advice, i had taken the carb of and cleaned it with compressed air but never cleaned the jet, i will due this at the weekend and let you know, cheers.

Thanks for that, i'll try playing with the settings on the carb. She is a little revy and slow to reduce the revs would this be my problem.

I bought a 2009 model 280 about 2 months ago and im am really enjoying it, but i have noticed that the back tyre is rubbing the exhaust, Is this a common problem? and can it be fixed easily?

Its not running out of fuel!! that would be stupid of me if that were the case.

Hi guys, My we bro has a 2005 scorpa sy250, just had a rebuild (about 3 months ago) but if we decide to head away for the day after about 3-4 hours riding the bike dies out and will not start again. This happened once before, we changed the spark plug ( the old one was very black) and the bike they started but took a min for it to clear itself out. i wonder is this a problem with the carb and its settings, is the bike flooding after a long period of riding. Any help on this issue would be great. thanks

Hi guys, I currently ride a 2008 scorpa sy250 but have had a 2007 beta rev 3 before it. Im thinking of changing agian but dont know which one to go for. think i would like to try the GG or the beta evo. Does any one any good adivse on theses bikes or any problems to look out for. I only realy ride at home but enjoy a little power. Any advise would be great thanks

Hi guys, Anyone have any ideas on the adjustment that can be made to the clutch in the 125 4stroke bike 2004. its a cable clutch, but you cannot use the clutch through sections as the min you pull the level you stop, or when you are taking off you nearly think your clutch will not work but at the very end she takes off.(no feel to the clutch just go or stop) At first I though it may be a stretched cable, but I

Cheers guys, Thanks for the tips, any ideas where i would get a good plug for the gear oil. Just when you say about the fuel filter, its on my brothers scorpa and i was thinking if i should stick one in so i'll be getting that sorted shortly.

Hi guys, Just got an 08 sy250, could someone tell me the correct amout of gear oil they need, also which oil seems to run well in this bike. I dont see a sight glass for the oil. any help or pointers on how to keep bike in top shape would be great. Im also looking for some paint for the black rims as there is some slight marks on mine. Im sure a small tin of black spray would do the job. Any one do this? if some which paint did you use. Tanks

Hi guys, My brother has a sy 250 2005 model, lovely bike i have to say, but ive been given the chance to buy a 2008 model so can anyone tell me what changes have been made to the bike since 2005? I would like it if there was a little more power. i have a beta 250 2007 myself but really liked the scorpa ride but thought it lacked a little power. Any advise would be great.

i have hear a few complaints on the electrics within the beta, i have had a minor electric problem with my own. im really only a novice rider. would the sherco be as well built as a beta? I remember looking at some gasgas bikes before i got the beta i was told by so many people to stay away, that they would fall to bits, that was the 2002-2004 model. But i have a friend who bought a 2007 280pro it seems to be going great and is really nice to ride.

I am happy with my beta but maybe would like a change. Im thinking of spending about 500 pounds along with my own.

on my rev 3 07 the fan was not comming on at. i thought it may be the thermostat so i by-passed this and the fan came on straight away but when the bike is running on a low rev the fan would start and stop. any ideas on what this could be would be great, would the thermostat be sticking.

im in Ireland, just on the border to northern Ireland.

i couldn't afford a rev 4 im thinking of spending around 2500

hi guys, I have a beta 07 rev 3 250, im really only a novice rider and have always loved the sound and look of the 4 stroke montesa but they have been a little out of my price range. i was woundering what the 05/06 4 stroke model is like. Would it be a bad move to change for this year of montesa?

Hi guys, my little brother has a sy250 2005 he saved real hard for it, but is getting turned off trials by the way its behaving on him. he has had a few minor problems with it all from him falling off but this cultch is a no go. At first we thought it needed bleed, tried this for ages with no joy. the slave cylinder does not move at all when moving the clutch lever. when we were bleeding it there seemed to be no pressure when i would release the air (just a drip of fulid would this be normal). anyone with any ideas or have had this problem. Does he need a new slave cylinder? how much are they?

A four stroke is one bike i would love. maby next year.... or the year after!!!!!!!!! never was on one but they sound lovely and flat.
