  1. plastic slip over covers can be found here... http://www.tkenterprisesplastics.com/TK%20...04-14-08%20.pdf
  2. Since it is a used bike, never assume the previous owner used the correct fluids. I know guys that come from MX and can't get used to the soft suspension and have put in heavier fork weight oil. I would change the oil and put in the correct weight and the correct amount. The clutch may be just as easy, replace the crank oil with the correct type and amount. Also, check the adjustment screws on the levers AND the one on the motor. Someone may have been screwing around and it may just be out of adjustment.

    Confused

Maybe it got lost in translation and they meant to say use 2.5 ounces of oil to one gallon of gas??
  4. Just had the same thing happen. Tried connectig the two fan wires and still nothing. The picture you posted is very small, and can not seem to find anythign that resembles it. I found the larger cyclinder and large black box under the seat, both with many wires connected to them. Can you describe specifically where you found your issue? Thanks
  5. Cody is married?? Good grief, he looks so young!! If it is any incentive to him, NETA has reimplimented the CHAMP line. We typically have about 5-6, including Louise and world champion bicycle trials Libor Karas, that ride this line. Plenty of big stuff for him here. I hope I did not sound like I was complaining about the sections. I thought everyone did a fantastic job with the event. The sections were still challenging for us. We will defiantely be back soon.
  6. JR, we had a great time at your event. You guys definately do things differently!!! The focus is clearly on FUN!!! Your boy is very talented, but looked bored with the sections? Are you guys doing the CATRA event Saturday or Sunday? You should consider bringing him to more NETA events.
  7. yes SY250R 2007 Stock bars The bars are rolled slightly foward Neither levers are mounted tight to the grips for the exact reasons you mentioned. I don't understand why stock, I have this problem? I emailed RYP, 3 days and still waiting for a reply.
  8. We're from Connecticut. There is an event in Exeter RI that same day, but we thought your event may be a good change of pace and scenery. Sounds a little goofy with no checkers? How many riders do you guys get for an event? We both ride adavnced here in NETA, mid pack finishes, what are your advanced sections like?
  9. What steps are you guys taking to prevent this? Currently, the thropttle cable, clutch line and kill switch all get squished when the bars are turned full lock to the right? Rerouting the cable doesn't work as they are too short. Thanks for the help.
  10. Whats it take to enter one of your events? Where can I find more info?

    Tuning

I changed the main jet per RYP specs. Not sure what the replacement jet size is, I'll check when I get home. Or email Ryan over at www.RYPUSA.com

    Stalling`

While riding this weekend, I met a guy with the same bike. He said his bike would do the same thing until he changed the spark plug. He had an extra plug, I changed mine and not one stall yesterday!

    Stalling`

My bike has been stalling too often. Typically when going down hill or nose wheelies. The idle is fine. I'm assuming it may be the float height? I'm thinking it may have bent with the riding and abuse I impose. Sound reasonable? You know the only problem with working on the Scorpas is getting at the carb, so I'd like any suggestions before digging in. Thanks
  14. I recently had the same issue with my 07. Of course start with the basics.. the pads and rotor are clean? no oil? I had a blown fork seal which of course I didn't notice until the oil leaked onto the pads. Thus requiring a very thourogh cleaning of the rotor and new pads. Next, which I learned from Brad and Mike at RYP, heat up the rotor by ridign aorund with the front brakes on. Of course this requires some common sense as you will have to modulate the lever. When it gets nice and hot, have someone standing by with a bucket of cold water and pour it onto the rotor. After that, I still had to bleed my brakes to get them strong. The problem with bleeding the newer Scorpa brakes is air gets trapped in the bajo bolts. Just an additional step to clear it up. good luck.
  15. What a bargain!! A new t-stat runs $80 here!!, then of course the coolant. My paper clip looks better and better.
