  1. We ended up getting a small wheel 80, the bike fits him nicely and he loves to ride it
  2. They are a couple of hours away, I've thought about going to watch a few local trials and see if there's any bikes there we can see up close instead of looking at a picture of them
  3. Yeah that would be the only plus he could have one for 2-3yrs then hopefully not loose to much on the purchase price
  4. No trials shops local, I wouldn't mind travelling tho if I could find a shop with both junior and senior 80's in. He knows he's getting one so don't need to surprise him, he's been pestering me for months haha
  5. Hi all, after a little advise, I'm looking to get my son a trials bike for his birthday in a couple of weeks. I have been looking at getting a beta 80 junior, but these are like hens teeth in the second hand market. Are 80 big wheeled bikes the same size as a full size bike?? I don't want to get him a big wheel and then he finds it to big and heavy and doesn't enjoy it! He knows his way around bikes, rides a ktm 65 in enduro. Can ride my bike but feels it's to big and says he wants a small one here he is riding mine to guage his size....

    Won't Start?

Hi gents Sorry for the delay!! Finally had chance to look at the bike last night, popped a bit of fuel down the plug hole and it fired straight away then died, removed the carb and gave it a clean, didn't see any obvious sign as to why it wouldn't start, re-fitted the carb, kicked it over and it fired up second kick like it usally does!! A bit of dirt in there somewhere I guess Thanks for all the help and advise!!

    Won't Start?

no joy yet! tried leaning the bike over but that didn't, havn't had time to do anything else yet as been busy with other things, off on tues so have another go then. petrol wise I have some in a jerry can, which is air tight so shouldn't go 'off', I mix a litre or two of premix each time I use the bike to save having it sitting in the tank or a plastic bottle going to remove the carb first an go from there, try the petrol in the plug hole first tho will keep you informed

  22. Hi all, Can anyone advise on what's the best tyre for muddy conditions?? At home where I do most of my riding is's pretty much all mud apart from the river bed, currently use a mitchelin x11 which came on the bike, which spins like crazy. Are there any better ones or are trials bikes just ment for the dry stuff? Cheers
