  1. ok so i've pulled the rear linkage in my 06 300 pro, to re-pack the bearings and give everything a once over, now i haven't done this for a couple months(my bad) but anyways moving on, when i pulled it apart i had 6 of the thin washers, now i know where 4 of them go, but where do the other two go, i've looked through my manual and i only see 4 in all the linkage, theres not too many places they can go, so any thoughts? also whats an exceptable amount of play(up and down) in the swingarm? thanks -Jesse
  2. ok i know im not the only one with this problem but no one can say they've ever tried to do anything about it? well if thats the case i might have to be the first one
  3. i've noticed the footpegs on my 06 are gradually getting more and more beat up and i was just wondering if anyone out there knows of aftermarket gaurds that you can buy so you don't bend and smash up your peg mounts, or if anyones made some?

    Too Much Oil

well when i was working on my bike i guess there was still some oil in the transmission cause i was working on the clutch and had the bike tipped on its side a bit for a better angle, well i guess i didn't get all the oil out and i noticed when filling the oil that it felt like there was too much in there what should i do drain and re-fill with the correct amount drain a bit and risk having not enough or will it just come out of the vent thanks -Jesse
  7. well i got it fixed, somehow, i don't know what i did but it works now umm when i was putting new oil in, i think i put too much in is this going to hurt anything or should i drain it and put in the correct amount thanks
  8. ok, well i finally got my kickstarter re-built after putting in a new idler gear and kickstart gear, both of wich had almost no teeth left anyways everythings put back together and i go to kick it over, and at the bottom of the stroke the kicker is still ingaged and when the bike keeps turning over the kicker almost sent me rocketing over the bars, so im thinking that i got my starter gear down one on the spiral shaft, and should be moved up one, if that makes sense moving on to the second part, i moved my kickstart lever forward so i could get the proper stroke and the bike fired up first kick, but now im noticing a different noise in the clutch casing that wasn't there before, my thought is the kickstart gear isn't fully disengaging because its in the wrong position on the shaft, just a guess, and so its rubbing on the idler gear a bit any help would be nice, since i haven't been riding for almost a month and i'de like to get back on the bike oh and also the little spring clip that goes on the kickstart gear, when putting the clutch casing back on does it go into its own little slot almost directly above the hole where the shaft pokes through the casing, it looked like thats where it went, and i couldn't remember from pulling it apart, but thats where i put it, just wanted to make sure it was right thanks
  9. hey i've had my 05 pro for almost a year now and i've asked the same question about a million times, and i've talked to all the champ class riders who ride the pros, and thay all say the same things, its a gasgas they make noises, and they all clunk into 5th its all good
  10. hahaha my bad i read it wrong and of course i've got allen keys, a whole bunch of em
  11. yeah its a pro where can i get one of these alan keys from and whats the size?
  12. alright, well i opened up the case yesterday and i found that there was one complete tooth missing on my kickstart gear, and a couple teeth that were getting pretty small obviously not a good thing, that would explain all the metal shavings when i drained the fluid first so i have to change the gear, and hopefully thats the reason it was binding i guess i have to pull my clutch out to get to the gear from the looks of it, is there any special tool i need to get the clutch out or is there some way of changing out the gear without pulling the clutch apart thanks
  13. ok, well is there anything i can do to remedy this problem, or should i just what it when im starting the bike
  14. while i was riding this weekend there were two times where my kickstarter binded right at the top of the stroke and made a creaking sound like it was rubbing on something, and the kickstart wouldn't return, but when pushed back up it kicked through the whole stroke fine and returned back to the normal position are the kickstart gears not aligned and binding or what could this be, i haven't opened it up to take a look yet cause i'de like a bit of advice to what i should be looking for and also i know you can take the clutch cover off without draning your clutch or anti freeze cause i've seen it done on the trail, which bolts do you take off near the water pump, if any, to remove the clutch cover thanks
