After doing my research i have decided not to do it, The coating does reduce friction, It a diamond sort of coating, But as stated the coat will come of over time and then its looks stupid!

Hey guys, I have told my friend i will replace his main bearings on his sherco 250 2004, I can do most things to an engine but i have never tried doing these, Can some one tell me what tools i will need to do the job? Do i need some kind of press/puller Regards James

hello, I want to fix my fan problem, It is currantky running flat out all the time because i have linked the wires that are supposed to power thermostat, Would a new thermostat definatly fix the problem?

I would like to know the answer for this too

As a novice im not in theknow of all the clubs and events in and around gloucestershire area, If anyone knows of any upcoming events please let me know, I am nearly ready for my first trial, I ill prob just watch any events for bow tho!

OK thats really wierd. . I decided to swap the cdi over from another bike and it now runs fine, But. . . so does the bike i took the cdi from? Wtf?!?!?

hey people. Started bike today and and it wont run properly, It keeps coughing and spluttering and will not stay running, It had a new stator on friday and ran fine all day yestarday, I have cleaned carb and exhaust and checked spark etc but it still keeps playing up. It runs ok if you give it beans but will then cough splutter back fire and die Any help please.

I had this problem on my 2001, everything then suddenly wudnt start, checked all the usual but still no life, Started like new after taking expansion chamber off and emtying the oil out of it, i have onlt had it a few weeks and i think the guy who had it before ram it on the wrong mix causing carbon build up everwhere and excess oil in exhaust! Try de-caking everthing and give the whole exhaust a once over! Regards James

hey folks, My trials buddy has just moved back to england from canada, But his parents still live there and we are pondering on the idea of taking bikes over fro a few weeks, There is good lanscape there, when we were snowboarding last winter we was lookin at how a trials bike would be good on the slopes in summer when the snow has gone, N e ideas?

hello, I have also gone from mx to trials, well sort of! I have been messin about with mx bikes since i was bout 15 (now 23) And i have had and rode a whole host of bikes from 80cc's to 400cc's I bought my first trials bike about 3 weeks ago, its a beta rev 3 250, 2001 I personally dont have a problem with the power at all, i have progressed alot in 3 weeks, But my preference in learing is to throw myself in the deep end and go from there, I have had a few tumbles down hills and made my bike do backflip whilst i leg it the other way but i am finding my limits and also finding my bikes limits, Its probably the worst way of learning but it works for me, I think it depends on how scared you are of faling of, Im more worried about breaking my bike than hurting myself lol! But its def a beter sport than mx imo, I like the slow steady moves lots of balance, i also like taking my time rather than pounding round a track as fast as i can! Does this help?? (probably not)

Got a stator on sale or return from local shop (bvm) Turns out it was the stator, All sorted now! P.s Wiring is different than the 2001

I have a rev 3 250, Is it safe to swap stators and no for sure thats the problem? Or are they different on the 270's?

hello, Me and my bro drove 400miles yesterday to collect his rev 3 270, We took his out for the first time this afternoon, And it stopped working, We daignosed 'No spark' Coil ok! Got home and afetr reading forums and wat not it seems to be stator, I have done a resistance check and his is cumin up at 158ohm, (Thats is i have tested it correctly) I have checked my rev3 250 and its showing 398ohm, So i have come to the conclusion the stator is broke. Is there any other checks i can make? As we dont want to buy a stator for no reason! What are the best solutions: Re-Coil? Replace? Regards James
