  1. Wow! You get some terrific glue these days! What do you use to prise the tyres off the floor?
  2. Dave Thanks for the reply. Where is the best place to buy the Ryan Leech DVD? Gordon
  3. Thanks for the reply Will give that a shot
  4. Hi all I have recently bought a trials bicycle to practise balance and improve my fitness. This will be a good laugh to anyone watching, as I'm old, fat and clueless! Still, got to start somewhere. Can anyone recommend any good videos/articles relating to bike trials. In particular, training and techniques. Thanks in advance
  5. I've had a number of vans for work. Currently I have a 2004 Hiace and a 2010 Vito. The Toyota has 200k on it and has had no issues. It is still on the original clutch! This is the reason they are sold quickly! Considering purchase price, reliability and service/repair costs. The Toyota is the best value in my opinion.
  6. I have 2010 Vito and 2004 Hiace. Hiace has done 200000 miles. Never had a fault. Brilliant, no rust. Basic reliable, fantastic value. Vito has been remapped, drives good. Looks and feels more modern. For me. Hiace for work and serious use. Merc for pleasure. Tried Fords and LDV before. Never again.
  7. Intersting point in this weeks MCN regarding lefties. Eugene Laverty (Worls Supersport rider) commented that he feels that being left handed helped him. He quoted the following road racing world champions as left handed: Wayne Gardner Kevin Schwantz Freddie Spencer Wayne Rainey Mick Doohan Carl Fogarty Valentino Rossi Coincidence or what?
  8. Are you going to tie it around yer waist......I thought you was trying to protect yer thighs ? tongue.gif Just an update. Got some Animal impact shorts. That's the a*se, thighs and hips covered. (And that's a LOT to cover) smile.gif Looking at body protection now. Saw another rider using 661 mountain bike gear, looked quite good. Anyone else use this?
  9. Just bought a UFO jacket from Ebay. Will let you know how it works. Cheap, so if it is unsuitable it will not be a great loss.
  10. I have had a Hiace D4D for 4 years and 180000 miles. No problems mechanical, or electrical. No rust. Still starts and runs like new. I also have a 2010 vito. Comfy, quick and economical. Too early to say if the rust problems are a thing of the past. Hope this helps.

  12. Tried that zippy. Didn't work!
  13. Thanks for that! Expensive but no doubt good. I was looking for a good compromise of flexibility and protection. Any other ideas, veiws out there?
  14. I managed to do a comedy fall onto a boulder at walking pace. I was practicing alone and landed on the top of my right thigh. The entire length of the thigh swole up and it was difficult to walk, let alone ride. As a result I have lost a weeks riding time. What are your thoughts on impact gear? I was looking at some of the mtb, snowboarding and rugby stuff, as it appears a good compromise between protection and flexibility. Any comments, recomedations etc would be great. Thanks Gordon
  15. I can confirm that the floats can be fitted the wrong way!
