    I had this same thing happen to my sisters mower. A nut fell off the air box and got stuck in the valve seat which stuck the valve open. Pull the head. Gaskets are pretty easy to come by but i reused hers and as for what i can tell its still running. The valve seat with chewed up a bit but it still runs.
