Best Bike For An Eight Year Old.

Featured Replies

My nephew is mad keen on trials and is looking for his first bike.

What would you recommend??

If he's big enough and you can find one , You can't much beat a good old TY80 ... Easy to shift and about indestructible !

Glenn

Beta Rev50.

Mine had a Ty80, then a Beta 50. Chalk n cheese, but then there's 30yrs difference.

Mine was definately handicapped on a TY against all the others on modern bikes.

Lighter, easier to start, more grip, so much difference.

Yep - my vote is Beta Rev 50. Great little bike. We had one for nearly 3 years, and lost about 150 quid per year on it. Never thought I'd go against the TY80, but these days I think only any good for early D class.

A txt boy 50 with flywheel weight is brilliant too. Very ty 80 but with the modern bits and light.

What would you recommend??

where are you?

best buy is a Rev 50, the TY's are dated and too heavy. also I have one for sale in the classified adds......
