A Good Weekend For Australia!

Featured Replies

Well done Aussie's!!

First off, Casey stormed it on the Moto GP.

Mark nailed the GP.

And Jason Crump wins the world speedway.

What's so unusual about that?

Yes it was a good weekend to live in the best place on Earth.

Queensland is the best part though.

Did they all get trophies made out of recycled bottle tops like mark got.

Continuing with last year's trend, the trophies awarded to the podium finishers at the Brazilian GP will be made of recycled materials. Last year's trophy, designed by Oscar Niemeyer, was constructed of 100 percent recycled plastic.

This year, the idea has been pushed forward another step and like last year, will be made of recycled materials, however this time around the recycled materials will come from the 60 tons of trash accumulated within the grand prix weekend at Interlagos, the venue which will host the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The fabrication process will reach its final stage on Sunday and the trophies should be completed around three hours prior to the race. The trophy is expected to be blue in color this year.
