Does anyone have a solution to stop my rear sprocket bolts loosening off - I'm already using nyloc nuts and loctite. Is the next step split pins or 'R' pins ??

Or do I just keep tightening them up ?

Just thinking out loud here.... um there is something wrong don't keep making the same mistake. Take the system apart (one piece at a time) and find out what is wrong. Replace the bolts with NEW rear hub/sprocket bolts (high tensile)

on my old sy250 the bolts didnt quite go through the nyloc, so I got ones slightly longer and also put stud locker on and it worked well .. you could also put star washers behind the nyloc's

just replace what you have with the correct montesa parts and your problem is solved.

Yep munch - absolutely right. From 07 onwards Montesa changed the bolts to be a special locking kind. I noticed that after a very expensive mistake with my 06!

Never had issue with mont rear wheels - 315 and now 4rt so standard seems best

buy genuine Montesa bolts and nuts from Sandiford's, you'll get them next day unless a Tuesday's involved, then fit to correct torque.

I check mine regularly but they're never loose

OK, maybe not so good. I tried using a set of these last night and they dont' fit - the flange nuts are too wide. Went back to the stock Montesa nuts.
