mark1161
Does anyone have a solution to stop my rear sprocket bolts loosening off - I'm already using nyloc nuts and loctite. Is the next step split pins or 'R' pins ?? Or do I just keep tightening them up ?
nzralphy
Just thinking out loud here.... um there is something wrong don't keep making the same mistake. Take the system apart (one piece at a time) and find out what is wrong. Replace the bolts with NEW rear hub/sprocket bolts (high tensile)

scorpa4banger
Hi mate on my old sy250 the bolts didnt quite go through the nyloc, so I got ones slightly longer and also put stud locker on and it worked well .. you could also put star washers behind the nyloc's cheers
samandkimberly
Here's a (US) source for good sprocket bolts. More importantly, check out the installation instructions - it's all there: http://www.boltmotorcyclehardware.com/prod...products_id=
munch
just replace what you have with the correct montesa parts and your problem is solved.
montesaman
Yep munch - absolutely right. From 07 onwards Montesa changed the bolts to be a special locking kind. I noticed that after a very expensive mistake with my 06!
jimmyl
Never had issue with mont rear wheels - 315 and now 4rt so standard seems best
windlestone
buy genuine Montesa bolts and nuts from Sandiford's, you'll get them next day unless a Tuesday's involved, then fit to correct torque. I check mine regularly but they're never loose I am in no way connected to Sandifords......unfortunately
samandkimberly
http://www.boltmotorcyclehardware.com/prod...products_id=119 OK, maybe not so good. I tried using a set of these last night and they dont' fit - the flange nuts are too wide. Went back to the stock Montesa nuts. Sam
