Hi all, just wondering on whats the best small van out ther in terms of running costs, needs to carry one bike and have 3 seats at the front , in the region of 2 to 3 grand , thoughts anyone ta.

the 3 seats is the deal killer as it moves choice from car based vehicles to panel type and therefore costs runnunig and purchase rise.

Thanks for that, may go and have a look at at a fiat scudo, are you saying they are classed as commercial vehicles therefore more insurance and tax ?

With rising fuel costs and current diesel vehicle only doing 25 to a gallon, thought a small panel van would be the obvious choice but does nt appear to be a lot of 3 seaters about.

peugeot expert, citroen dispatch, fiat scudo. get upto 3 bikes and gear. often come with 3 seats

i run a expert 2 litre hdi for my daily run around and find it no dearer to run than a family size saloon... on mostly town work it does around 350 miles on

This is my perfect small van, a VW Transporter 1.9 TDI (short wheelbase). Running costs are ok, and it fits in most car parking spaces. I have no other car.
