nickjc Posted December 3, 2010 Report Share Posted December 3, 2010 hi all, would someone please advise me on the 2 stroke ratio on my txt280, the guy i got it from told me to mix 100ml of oil with 5 litres of petrol, i was told today by another rider it should be 80ml of oil to 5 litres of petrol, wich is it 100ml or 80ml?, im using putoline tt oil with shell optimax fuel, any advise welcome, regards Nick. gjbiker Posted December 3, 2010 Report Share Posted December 3, 2010 Hi nickjc, have a look here....Clicky Linky 50:1 ratio = 100ml oil per 5000ml petrol (5 litres) 60:1 ratio = approx 83ml oil per 5000ml petrol 80:1 ratio = approx 62ml oil per 5000ml petrol I run my 280 on anything between 60:1 and 80:1 depending on what mood I'm in when measuring the oil !
