April 7, 201214 yr How rare are Scorpa SY250F's ?..... Been looking everywhere but to no avail All i hear is everyone is going back to 2 stroke but finding one for sale is like finding hens teeth....... Really want one but at this rate ill be going the 2 stroke route.....
April 7, 201214 yr Author some on ebay! Ive seen lots of SY250's mate Only saw one SY250 F ( 4 stroke) the other but sold before i had a chance to bid.....
April 7, 201214 yr You would probably be better off on a 2T as a learner anyway, once you get into it you may find the 4T i bit of a handful, my advice would be to find a TYS/SY 125/175 as a first bike you will learn much quicker. Did you give Birketts a call?

April 7, 201214 yr Hi ,hope you find one ,I know off only 2 up here. Think they may be quite collectable in years to come. I've got an 07 model and love it though everyone that's tried it thinks it's odd. Never had any bother with it ,access to the carb and plastics are poor. Also it's got a proper motorcycle engine not something from a flymo. Happy hunting.
April 10, 201214 yr I would only buy an 08 there is a big difference in power and how they run What were the changes do you know? I think I've only ridden an 06' and an 07' and I didn't really much care for them, but if they made them better in 08' I may have to seek one out to try.
April 10, 201214 yr Stand to be corrected, but I think the main changes were the carb and the frame as well as the white colour plastics. I've ridden both and would say the newer bike feels a bit better but nothing to get excited about. Certain sections such as slippy streams, muddy climbs they feel great, stoppy start stuff heavy going though they ride lighter than they look. How I like it is up one tooth to 10 on the front and a mega fast idle, the opposite make it feel like a tank, also put the footrests on the rear position. An individuals machine, not for the masses.
April 10, 201214 yr I think the main changes for 08' was the pumper carb, different holes cut in the sump guard, marzzochi forks, rear exhaust silencer only has 1 outlet, and white plastics i've owned both (07' + 08') and they ride pretty much the same.
