really starting to get frustrated now, have oil shooting out of exhaust and also oil dripping out from where the muffler joins the main bit. bike also wont start after i turn petrol tap on.

Carb has been flooding (I think It should be Dellorto VHST on your bike). Crankcase is full of fuel Check the float and float valve then take the spark plug out and do a large number of kicks to dry the engine. You may also have to clean the spark plug.

Best to push it in low gear to spin engine rather than excess use of kickstart.

Make sure you earth the plug well also, otherwise the spark energy will go back into your ignition system and you will have more expensive problems to deal with.

Pushing a bike with the plug out to clear fuel out of the engine is how I ended up with a flaming Bultaco. Very dangerous. Don't trust the kill switch. Disconnect the coil and have an extinguisher near by. Very near.

Seriously with all your issues (which actually is common with Betas) it sounds like you need to find a faithful mechanic. Good luck, as it`s really quite simple.
