Rev3 Engine Rebuild

Following this thread with interest as well as when riding my daughters bike today it seized :-(. Pulled top end and OK there so something down below has gone pop. I have a couple of questions:-

- No trick to pulling the engine on these? Just remove skid plate front bars, swing arm bolt and anything else?

- Ordering a Flywheel puller, will an air powered impact driver be OK for everything else? 

- Do you really need a crank case splitter for these engines?

- I am thinking new gaskets, main bearings, crank seals and anything else I find iffy looking. Are there any other things routinely replaced?

- Any recommendations for a one stop shop for all the bits?

Hi there, I’m in the middle of building the engine on a 2004 beta rev3 does anyone have a diagram of gearbox? I have a box of shims etc unsure which goes where as I didn’t strip the engine just been given it to try and rebuild. Previous links posted don’t seem to work anymore. Thanks mark

www.betausa.com   support   service manuals beta evo 2009-2015 that will give you guidance the evo model motor is very similar .
