Whats the best tyres for a Sprinter

Featured Replies

The time has come to renew the rear tyres on the Sprinter. The std Vaneao ones are ok on the road but are useless on wet grass or even a slight bit of mud. Not looking to go off roading just to be sure i can get out of a venue. Sometimes its spinning on wet grass on the flat :( So what would the team recommend ? Needs to be ok for the M.O.T. btw. Thanks :icon_salut:

Another thing that can help you get going is rocking the steering quickly from side to side   sounds like a load of old cobblers but it does work especially on ice and on a rear wheel drive,  although it works better on a front wheel drive vehicle.

I'd love to hear the theory behind rocking the steering on a rear wheel drive van !

Not tyres, but these are brilliant. Got them for the motorhome:

Also got Emma Bristow's motorhome out at Bootle last year and it's a big rear wheel drive beast that was well stuck.

Just lay them out, pass the long string back under the van and tie it to the back bumper or something. It drives out then tows the grips behind so you don't have to stop till you're on solid ground.
