Nice one, Big John. But do you know the provenance of that shirt.

Vic Allen toured Australia in 1975 with Suzuki works rider Gaston Rahier to race in an international MX series. Vic was primarily sponsored by the then Victorian Bultaco distributor Bert Flood Motorcycles, with limited help from the other state Bultaco distributors. Bert Flood provided fully set-up 125cc and 250cc Pursangs for Vic.

Incidentally, Vic was a sparkie by trade and did a bit of electrical wiring in the Bert Flood premises in Boxhill, Melbourne. He was a great bloke.

Bert Flood was and still is a legend in Australian motorcycle racing. In addition to being a tuner extrordinaire, Bert contributed two sons who dominated at the top level of MX and other motorcycle sports in the 70s and 80s - Trevor and Gary Flood. Both were mechanically gifted as well as being top racers, and Gary raced professional speedway in 1971 at Crewe in your UK.

Bert is now in his 70s. His current interests involve putting souped-up Rotax motors in everything from helicopters to ultra-light aircraft. He still tunes the odd Bulty including the Bultaco TSS racers ridden in classic road racing by Ginger Molloy here in Oz and NZ.

That's a great piece of Australian history you hold there Big John and if you ever want to sell it, send me an email.
