Repsol Indoor

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed that in the indoor championships Gas Gas have Repsol sponsored tabbards duct taped over the Repsol slogan. I appreaciate that Gas gas may be sponsored by another oil company ? but surely the event may not exist without sponsorship. Seems like a slap in the face by Gas Gas! :hyper:

ye i noticed that at the uk indoor round. dont know why that is but would like to find out.

if it wasnt for repsol sponsoring the indoor events gasgas, montesa ect wouldnt be in the comps

I personaly would keep it on, apart from Repsol being the biggest sponser ( hence the name) they look so daft with a piece of duck tape on there riding gear

Surely putting a piece of shiny silver duct tape over the sponsor's name only hightens the interest and urges the viewer to find out what they're trying to cover up. :hyper:

Personaly, I reckon Raga & Gas Gas should get their arses kicked.

Common practice, it's gone on by one team or another for years.

This is the rule

057.7.4 Riders' bibs

Each rider must wear a bib carrying his riding number or his name. The bib

number will be permanent for all the events counting for the Indoor Trial World

Championship and will correspond to the rider's final position in the "Outdoor"

Individual Trial World Championship. The bib may carry the name of an event

sponsor.

The conditions regarding the wearing of bibs and the name of any sponsor

whose name or logo appears on the bib must be clearly stated in the SR. Any

rider who can prove a conflict of interest between his own and the event sponsor

must inform the organiser prior to confirming his entry. The organiser may offer a

bib of an alternative event sponsor or authorise the rider to cover the name of the

sponsor. The final decision rests with the organiser. The removing or exchanging

of the bib during an event is forbidden under penalty of disqualification.

A minder is classified as a rider regarding all rules except if specified.
