The nose stud is for trials instead of the ring. I once saw a guy a few years back who rode with a nose ring , and i passed him on his way back to his car with his nose all covered in blood. He had just got it caught in some bushes as he was riding by them, !! Ouch

Not telling you , it is not yet even finished , as was due to be pinstriped and finished off . But i wanted it for a trial and that is the way that it has stayed.
