Sy250f Nitrous Oxide Kit

Featured Replies

<_< HA, HA, :) I knew that topic title would attract all you 4 stroke 'blingers' :D

On Andy's Japan '06 photos -320Y7V4803.JPG- there's a cylindrical lump with associated plumbing??

What is it?

I know that the 4 stroke has been dropped from the Japan schedule because of lack of poke but surely they haven't stuck a NO2 kit on it??!! :wall:

It could be one of the following:

A) Remote reservoir for the rear shock (unlikely, given that it's next to the (Hot) cylinder)

<_< Fuel pump

C) oil breather catch tank (unlikely)

D) NITROUS OXIDE :)

E) An elaborate hoax!!

In picture (4803) it looks like the rear shock reservoir next to the hot cylinder.

In picture(4803a)the production unit had a fuel pump mounted in this location. This component however, looks like a voltage regulator / rectifier to me.

The in-line lamp switch (zip tied to the frame in photo 4803) is a nice touch of home. Looks like it may be running to the radiator fan, but it's hard to tell.

Andy or atom can you step in here and provide a link for S.E.Lucas.

I afraid I can't drive my PC well enough for that <_<

Thanks

They allways had them on the factory 2 strokes aswell.

That is definitly a gyro stabeliser unit, with optional antigravity genorator.

six months and we will all have them

Take a look at the length of the left (clutch-side) grip in Pic 4802!! <_<

Good spot Stu, what the hell is going on there? Has someone been playing with Photoshop?

Looking at the high pressure braided pipe used , I would say its for the suspension without doubt.

whatever it is... it worked. Kenichi beat the 2 stroke Scorpas on day one in Japan on it.

With a 5th place finish on Sunday, Kenichi was right there with the big boys! He is obviously not having any problem riding the new 4-stroke at a World Class level.
