  1. Results and a couple of videos from the event held on 26th November can be found on the Normandy club website http://www.normandymcc.co.uk Mick
  2. Many thanks for the various comments. The event is a centre championship, which we have run for many years, and usually have a good entry, with riders happy to pre-enter. Yes, in previous years we have used MOD land and the the steep increase in costs was a factor in changing venue. I guess it is the venue that has put riders off, but as has been mentioned above, it can be used for traditional events. I have ridden there in a group trial in December (and I am not very good), we also ran a group event there in January which was well supported with a beginner/wobbler class including electric bikes, but if other riders do not agree then we will have to take that in to consideration when looking for a venue, which has also been mentioned is getting difficult in the south east. We do run many club trials which do not require pre-entry, where we leave the number of entries to chance, last July I set a trial out which had a total entry of 7 riders including me! For this event we did not want to put the effort in to set out a good trial with a descent amount of sections only for a handfull of riders to take part.
  3. Due to a lack of entries our pre-67 trial at Butser Lime Works, this Sunday 26th February has been cancelled due to lack of entries.

  11. I bought a plastic tank from Martin 18 months ago which had been painted, whoever did it did a good job as it seems to be lasting well, and I fall off quite a few times!
  12. Derek at the presentation before the trial and riding in the event, which by the way he won his class - well done Derek Results and more photos from the event can be found here http://www.normandymcc.co.uk/events.html
  13. The Normandy MCC are running their Arthur Repton Memorial Trial this coming Sunday the 11th on a new piece of MOD Land at Deepcut, Surrey. This is the first round of this years Thames Valley Trials Combine Championship and it will also be celebrating the evergreen Derek Cranfield's 60th Anniversary, yes that's right 60 years of riding motor cycle trials, Derek told us his first event was the January T.V.T.C. Trial in 1955, I don't think there are many that can say they have been riding for 60 years and still winning his class. The TVTC combine along with Witley & DMCC his lifelong club, will be making a small presentation before the start to commemorate this milestone. Anyone wishing to come along and watch the day the venue can be found just off the B3015 Deepcut Bridge Road, and will be signed from the A30 by the American Golf Roundabout and the junction of the B311 and B3015. Or visit the club's website at www.normandymcc.co.uk or the combine website www.thamesvalleytrials.co.uk where you will find a map.
