Wow. I am amazed at the seeming disinterest.
First, the mysterious French photos (http://moto-montesa....lle-montesa-4rt), and now Todo Trial (http://todotrial.com...esa4RT-2012.htm) appears to confirm the photos as the real deal, and nobody has anything to say?

Just the Emperor's new clothes, albeit with a milled rear rim and a totally useless catalytic converter

I do like my 4rts but this is a bit of an anticlimax.
Most of weight saving is probably from X lite tyres.
Milling aluminum don't save much.
Could have at least fitted flat tanks as std.
Maybe have to be 2013 for the reverse cylinder motor then!!!!

The weight reduction is claimed to be from lighter nipples and sprockets – don’t know if the former was made in lead or cast iron?
I was sure that Honda Montesa was coming with something new this year, and is a bit sadden by the fact that the just slap new stickers on an old, and almost decommissioned bike.
Sorry to all the Honda Montesa owners – don’t want to degrade your bike, but it is in fact a very old design.

Good saying around here goes - If it ain't broke - don't fix it.
"almost decomissioned bike" ! - Amazes me the tosh that gets written on here by amateur riders.
Assume you beat every single Montesa every weekend?

Well – you may call me all kind of things, but that doesn’t change my point of view.
The Montesa 4RT is a good bike – with a superb build quality and very fine suspension. I have ridden 4RT Repsol before, and found it to my liking. I even have taken home trophies on one.
BUT… Montesa has always changed the model every 7 years – meaning that 2011/12 was the year.
Decommissioned can be harshly read – but an 8 year old bike is (even at Trial Standard) an old bike.
If it ain’t broke then…
Don’t agree – because that would have us riding on Honda RTS Still – wouldn’t it… ?
As I said before – don’t want to degrade the bike, but it is a old design.
A well yes… I do kick Honda butt every weekend… Sorry
(could be otherwise I some of my competitors changed to Honda)
