Hello. Here we go again. Right. Im putting me refreshed exhaust back on. The gaskets the same diameter as the mouth of the exhaust pipe, so when I offer it up, trying to get the bolt through the support is not possible. I've been jiggling and staring at it for about 10 minutes. Please, what am I doing wrong. Cheers Squid

Does anyone know if the bushing in the frame where the brake pedal pivots is replaceable? Both of my twinshock 250's are well worn and I do not see it shown on parts diagrams. They are ty250a and ty250c. thanks! Steve

Hi all, some more help please. I have removed the auto oiler from my TYZ Scottish and it is now running a bit rough. Idle to quater throttle is fine but it will not rev out. Can anybody let me have the base settings for this bike? It has a JK carb running on full synthetic Castrol at 50:1. Why would the carb settings be so far off after the removal of the auto oiler? Thanks Iain

Hello I've still got me oil tank on my TY125. Will take the thing off when I change the cylinder later. I'd like to drain the old oil out and refresh. The thing is can I just undo the diddy wire clip on the lowest black tube, pull off and let drain without getting an air block in me pipe. Cheers Squid.

Hello Again. I've already asked about the Rayer kit. Now has anybody used the 200 kit upgrade? From Trail and Trial? From a standard 125 how much tinkering would be needed to make this upgrade run smooth? Cheers Squid.

Hello. Has anyone out there had any experience with these hedgehog looking cylinder kits for a ty 125. Theres one going for 450 euros. Looks like a fins been chipped off but meant to be in good condition. Its a 200cm3. I think its only the french that used them as 175's were not imported to france, so I dont expect any answers but had to ask anyway. Cheers Squid. Hope you can see this image. http://193.164.196.30/images/186/1868276860.jpg

Hi. Does anybody know what size tapered roller bearings replace the old race bearings in the TY 175 headstock? I can get bearings through work so thought if I could get the sizes I can get them with discount through work. Cheers Rob

Hi there, Will a Mikuni VM26 mm carb fit my 1977 TY250? Just picked up a very nice low hour bike (318 miles on working speedo). The original Yamaha carb has some wear around the float area. If the Mikuni fits can anybody please give me an idea of correct jetting specs? Thank you for your help Paul

So I stop at the Auto Parts Store this morning to pick up a box of spark plugs. I have been using NGK BP5ES for a couple of years with good luck ----- well I'm told that is a discontinued item. They had a box at another store so I'm good for awhile but..... What are the rest of you using in either a TY250 or TY175? Thanks Alan

Does anyone have suggestions for reliable supplier(s) for vintage Yamaha parts. Having trouble finding a few items that should be available. I've tried one of the dealers in the upper midwest but their customer services falls between slim and none, and slim just left town. USA dealers preferred, but what about the U.K.? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi all, I have a 1997 TYZ 250 "Scottish" with the steel tank and swing arm and road kit. It is not premix but has a gear driven oil pump and what I think is a second very small oil tank and pump which is wired into the loom. The problem is that it is delivering too much oil. How do I reduce the the amount of oil it delivers? Any suggestions would be great. Cheers Iain

I just picked up a ty250a without a front wheel. Is there other Yamaha year/models of wheel that will fit it? The original was robbed to fit a chinese dirt bike.
