Can anyone help? The online parts diagrams that are available on the web are all based on TY350 (US). whilst 99% of parts are the same i'm struggling with the internal fork bushes. On the parts diagram it only shows the lower bush (part number 30X-23125-00-00) all the mono forks i've ever stripped have had another smaller bush which is located slightly higher on the inner fork - looking for a part number so I can order some. Cheers

Group, So my forks bottomed out a couple of times in the Trial this past weekend. I'm assuming the springs are old and a little weak. Planning to put some spacers in. Do I: Put in a couple of 1/16" washers or put in a 1" plug? What I'm asking is how much shimming do you do? Second part would be how do you know when you have shimmed enough? Thanks in advance. Alan

I recently bought a ty250c and the decal on the heat shield was changed to "trials 300". Was there a enginge mod that would boost it to 300? Thanks! Steve

Hi, just joined the forum after buying a TY175 (which has turned out to be a bit of a lemon!!) haven't helped by dropping the bike while pushing it up the ramp into my transit. the gear lever has smashed the generator cover!! are they like the proverbial hens teeth, can they be repaired. I did see a bike on ebay a few weeks back which appeared to have a carbonfibre cover just over the round section of the casing? any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris

Top quality tank stickers for the Pinky Yams are finally ready at a company called MXM!! There have been various delays along the way. Unfortunately the original bloke I was dealing with, Frank Thornton, retired, setting the whole process back another few months! I only stuck with them because I know that they are top quality and actually stay on the tanks for years - I've used several over the years for old motocross bikes. The only differences from stock are that the silver is actually a pale silver/grey and they have perforated mine with small holes so they don't bubble (this is optional). They are also significantly thicker. I supplied a pattern of the sides …

I recently purchased a set of Sammy Miller footrests for my TY175. As they mount lower than stock, the brake pedal now sits awkwardly high. I see no way of adjusting the pedal height nor does the Haynes manual discuss this. How have others dealt with this? Rig up an adjuster, heat and bend the pedal, other? Thanks, Mike Behrens

Hi guys, I've just got a TYZ 250 Scottish as a project bike and the fork seals are leaking, as well as lots of other things which need repairing. Could someone tell me how to change the seals please? I looked in the archives but could not see a description. Secondly, where can I get a service manual for the bike it is a 1996 or 7. Any help would be great. Thanks. Cheers Iain
