Hello Viewer On new years day our club is having a meeting at Manton quarry and we would like to see new and enthusiastic faces to join our club and enjoy our 1st Class venues throughout the year, Our Club has a very nice community and everyone is friendly and will always share a joke, We run Pre 65, Twin-shock and Air cooled Mono-shock bikes and the routes are Novice, Clubman and Expert, there is a year cap for the Mono-shock bikes of 1990, We allow Children up the age 13 from 50-125cc to ride Modern bikes in there preferred route. Some trials venues always, despite the course setters efforts, seem to turn out more challenging than others and Bracken Rock is most definitely one of those . Last Sundays event Rd 10 of the Peak Classic Trials Clubs 2013 Club Championship was much harder than intended but still provided some great battles in all the classes on all the routes. One of the facts of life with harder courses is that the cream always rises to the top and on this occasion it was Mark Weston on his Montesa that took overall honours in the Expert Twinshock class with a superb ride in very challenging conditions to lose just 10 marks ahead of Local farmer Rob Carson who due to the demands of runn…

Right I'm dropping off my misses to the cloths show at the NEC on the 7th December and was thinking what am I going to do?????? I was wondering if there was a trial on that day somewhere in the midlands. If so I could bring my bike or even observe if needed. Cheers

Just a note for anybody thinking of supporting the club and riding at this Sundays event the course can only be accessed from the Whatstandwell end of the road NOT the Holloway end as Derbyshire County Council are STILL working on repairing the walls and road and the road is STILL closed just past the entrance to the venue. So no point trying to get there from Cromford traffic lights instead you will have to follow the A6 to Whatstandwell bridge then access that way. I will put arrows from there for Sunday. Please ignore the Road Closed signs at the Whatstandwell end of the road and just drive up to the gate and into the venue. Thank you. See you there.

Lothian Trials Club will be running their last trial of the year at Kidlaw.The trial is on Saturday the 9th of November.Usual start time 10.30,all classes are catered for (Modern,Twin shock,Mono's,Pre 65). Well the Championship is now in the final quarter but there is still all to play for in many of the classes so really important to score points in the remaining rounds and this Sunday sees round 9 at Stathams Farm opposite Matlock Golf Club on the main Tansley to Chesterfield road. Start time is as usual 11.00am and there will be Expert, Classic Expert, Intermediate, Classic Intermediate and Clubman routes along with classes for British Bikes, Pre85 Twinshocks and Pre95 air cooled monos. We seem to have been blessed with nice weather for most of our events this season and last Sunday was no different with the sun shining making Carsons Farm in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District bone dry for a change as when it is wet this historic venue can become quite tricky. Because of this the scores were low and the loss of a careless 5 could have meant the difference between success and failure. Well just spent two days laying out the course for Sundays trial so now looking forward to loads of riders turning up for the 11.00am start to support the Club and make all the effort worthwhile. Usual mixture of rocks and tree roots for your delight and this time we are trying something a little bit different with two new sections just for the Classic Expert and expert riders. What a difference a venue makes. With round 6 barely a month ago at Bracken Rocks made much more difficult than envisaged by the clerk of the course, Paul Beswick, when he laid them out the previous day due to torrential overnight rain turning the course into a quagmire the course at Burycliffe Quarry was almost unaffected by the downpours of Saturday. The outcome was 10 sections ridden 4 times over and around the sandstone outcrop that comprises this ever popular Classic Trials venue. Middlesbrough Motorclub will be hosting a 2 day trial at Woodhead Farm, Fryupdale, YO21 2AR. This is a charity event in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance. All classes will be catered for Expert, Inters, Clubman A&B, Youth A,B,C & a conducted course for D & E. The course will consist of 3 laps of 10 or 12 sections Saturday and 3 laps of 15 Sunday. This is a fantastic venue, arguably the best in the east yorks centre. Every type of section is covered from Gullies to Graded hill climb, Huge rock outcrops to slippy woodside. Well the hot weather of late had left the popular venue of Bracken Rocks nr Holloway, Derbyshire in a lovely dry grippy state when clerk of the course Paul Beswick spent Friday and Saturday laying out the course for Sundays trial round 6 of their Club Championship. A crucial round coming half way through our season with the Championship placings starting to take form but with 6 rounds still to go and everything to play for in the race to win your class every point will count at the end of the year. This Sunday 28th July sees the Peak Classic Trials Club return to the ever popular Bracken Rocks venue near Holloway, Derbyshire for round 6 of their Club Championship. Sunday 30th June dawned cool and cloudy but at least it was dry for the riders who journeyed to Carsons Farm, Grange Mill near Matlock for Round 5 of the Peak Classic Club Championship. There were quite a few date clashes this weekend with a number of events being held all on the same day.
