It's hard to believe that in less than a fortnight thousands of us will converge on Fort William for the 2007 Scottish Six Days Trial...it really is that time of year already! Before you pack your bags and take to the road, here's a few snippets and reminders from the organising committee : The Cavalcade To give the annual Sunday parade a little more pizzazz and spectator involvement, CJB Photographic are getting involved to make things a little different this year. When riders collect their machines in the Parc Ferme they'll be asked to form up in groups representing their nationality, then each group will be led in the parade by a nominated competitor from their count…

The Scottish Six Days Trial 4th to 12th May 2012 Unarguably the greatest motorcycle trial in the world. Since its origin in 1909, no other trial has captured the imagination of rider and spectator in the same way.

For all you folks riding the SSDT this year, here's a brief reminder of what you need to register your entry... 1.

2012 sees the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) enter its second century, with nine days of motorcycling entertainment being held in Fort William and the surrounding Lochaber region of the Scottish Highlands from the 4th to the 12th of May. The main trial takes place from 7th of May onwards and SSDT organisers, the Edinburgh and District Motor Club, are pleased to confirm the following details.

After a tough fifth day of the 2011 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) James Dabill - Beta remains ahead of his nearest rivals following a confident performance that saw him drop only two marks in the thirty observed sections, which were spread around today's seventy-nine mile peninsula based route. Dabill, who is the reigning British Trials Champion and is currently undefeated in this year's domestic series, holds a four mark advantage over Alexz Wigg - Sherco going into the final day. Wigg, who himself was victorious at last year's SSDT, matched Dabill mark for mark today as he too parted with two dabs during his penultimate excursion in the Scottish Highlands. Twenty-one…

For the next six days the loch-side town of Fort William and the surrounding Lochaber region in the Scottish Highlands, will play host to the famous Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT). The SSDT is by far the world's longest running international motorcycle trial event and 2012 sees it enter its second century. Today, on the eve of the first day of the trial, riders have been busy making last minute preparations for the challenging six days ahead.

Got home late last night, great few days weather was great apart from Sunday. HOWEVER...... The Pre-65 was rather spoiled for me again by the muppets who think it's okay to take their bikes off road because they can't be a***d walking. Friday Meall Na-Cruidhe not many but one or two bikes out on the moors thrashing around all over the place, I know there were a few press bikes but these folk need to be more obvious, yellow press bib?? As for the one I chased, wish I'd got the plate number, 315 mont if anyone's willing to own up......... Saturday was a different story, you could barely move at the top of Mamore for bikes and som eof the Rambles were not chuffed either.…

Leanachan has always been well-known amongst trials riders, and in recent years the fame of the area has spread with the introduction of a variety of world-class downhill and cross-country cycling routes, not to mention the impending arrival of the world trials scene in June 2010.
