Now my TR 280i is up to full running order I’ve been using it. I’m getting 75 mins to a tank. Does this sound right? Seems a thirsty beast to me but my last bike was a frugal rev3 200.

  2. Started by scrambler,

I recently bought a 2013 Ossa 280i. It's better than I ever hoped it could be. Lovely to ride, and lovely to look at. I'm not even having any trouble starting it! I'm a relative novice to trials, and my previous bike had no clickers to adjust the damping front or back. So now I have this wonderful top end suspension, but not a clue how to set it up. And as you probably know, adjusting the Ohlins shock is a little more involved than just reaching down and twisting a clicker. So some guidance on some initial settings would be much appreciated. If it helps, I weigh about 68kg.

Anyone out there who owns, or knows someone who owns an Ossa Pennine trials. Alan Wright is looking for one to display at Telford in February, so if you have one that you're willing to show or know of someone that might be, then Alan would be keen to hear from you

My graphics are all peeling off with old age. Anyone know of anywhere I can get a fresh set? Ive replaced all the bushes. Shock soon to be re built. No engine issues I’m aware of or electrical gremlins. Bikes got the easy start mod and starts great. Anything I should look out for? Bikes still on original chain and sprockets so not done tons of work. Thanks.

Some of you may enjoy following the below linked thread on Grassroots Motorsport in the US by a guy doing vintage flat track on a Phantom. About page three he shows the port timings for the MAR and Phantom and also describes removing the cylinder sleeve to get back to a smaller piston. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/cat-quick-and-tiger-tough-burrito-goes-wheel-to-wh/144587/page1/ cheers Richard

Hi, I recently bought a 2011 tr280i. The bike looks in good condition but seems to shift into gear by itself while the engine is running. So I'm trying to pull the gearbox out to inspect. I got the five bolts out and have it in gear but it just doesn't seem to move with a tap on the output shaft. It seems like the clutch shaft is jammed somehow. It doesn't have a clutch fixer nut because it's 2011 so I really need some advice of how to remove it. Cheers.

Would anyone have bearing numbers for all the needle bearings in the gearbox. I would like to replace everything while I have it apart. Would anyone have recommendations on where to order the bearings from. Thanks in advance.

.I am the owner of a 2011 Ossa tr280i in Ontario Canada. It has the original rear hub bushing/bearing setup and it is need of a new bushing. I believe the skf # is "pcmf 353916 e".I know that there was a kit available at one time to convert the hub to bearing/bearings with a new pair of spacers.Does anyone know where i can obtain them? I tried local bearing suppliers, but they have a minimum order of $255. Thanks,Ric

hi all,my 2011 ossa has developed a vibration at about 2/3rds throttle. up to that point all sounds well and starts fine.I cant find anything loose anywhere to cause it.The spark plug was black and a bit oily so I was wondering if the tps was a bit out would it cause the vibration.

Howdy folks, long time lurker first time poster! After spending the better part of a week trying to nut out an electrical problem with my 2013 280i, I have hit a wall. I was wondering whether some kind soul might have a copy of the service manual (or more specifically the wiring diagram) they could either send me, or point me in the direction for a legit download? I have tried downloading it from http://www.ossausa.c...arts/tech-tips/ but the file is damaged, and it now appears the site is down... Most of the referenced links in other threads to the ossa canada site no longer work either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Im doing up a '74 Ossa 250 MAR and ordered a the replacement alloy tank for it. When the tank arrived it looked great but its too narrow by 10 mm at the front where it goes over over the rubber mounts. I can modify the dowls and rubber mounts on the frame with a grinder and shoehorn the tank on but would much prefer get the correct tank.. Any advice???? Jim

Hello, I would like to know if there were OSSA MARs (MK1) with a four (4) speed transmission? I live in the USA, so I don't know if some 4 speeds were ever imported. What engine number sequence would I be looing for (M-344 XXX)? You don't have to tell me the best way to find out is to ride the bike....Lol...I would, but the bike is 2,000 miles away. The seller claims it is a 4 speed, but I have my doubts/want to confirm. I thought all MARs were 5 speeds. I appreciate any information.

Hi! I’m just looking to buy a bike. I’ve been looking at an Ossa tr300i Factory 2013 and I would like to ask few questions about it. 1. Is it reliable? 2. Are parts easy to get? Any other information about the bike or brand is also apreciated. Thanks in advance

Does anybody know what the bracket shown in the attached picture, on my OSSA MAR MK3 frame is for? Is it for mounting a horn? If so, does anybody have a horn that fits?

  18. Hi I am rebuilding an OSSA MAR MK3 and am missing the felt seals and covers for the steering assembly upper and lower bearings. Any ideas where I can get them from. Also after lights and horn and switch, and, lights and speedo mounting rubber brackets. Gordy

I'm a newbie and my bike seems to be geared a bit higher than other bikes I've ridden. Does anyone know of other bikes the countershaft sprocket would cross reference to?

Has anyone experience with the new fibreglass replacement petrol tanks, coming out of Spain for MAR's and TR80's? Do they stand up to the new fuels or do they have to be lined?
