Yesterday's E class route at Addingham Moorside was a success, with 4 Oset's in attendance.
I'll find out from the Yeadon Guiseley club if a seperate E course will now become a regular thing.
Hope to see more of you at Home Farm next saturday, just ring Nige at Trials UK to confirm your entry.

The Yeadon Guiseley club will for the first time be setting out a seperate E class route, along side their usual conducted course at Addingham Moorside tomorrow.
The route will be suitable for both 12.5" & 16" bikes.
More confident E class riders can still follow the normal small wheels course.
The conducted trial starts at 2pm.

'If the pounds getting stronger then why do prices go up and not down?
Well said

I've been told today by Nige at TrialsUK, that Horsforth Club will be running a separate E class course at their Youth national on 18th September at Home Farm, Bradford, (if there's enough interest).
If you've got a son or daughter with an Oset and you don't live too far away, please try your best to support this event.
Well done Nige.

Does anyone know if Ripon Motor Club post results on their website?

My son's E class permit came through today.
To be honest I'm not sure he's going to enter any events until he's 5. I don't think he'll have the consentration (or ability) to finish a small wheels trial in my area for another year.
The good news about having the E permit is, we can now sign on at an event and follow the trial fully insured.
Pete, good luck with your event.

I did the Milnthorpe Cup Trial today. What a fantastic event in a very beautiful part of the world, especially with the sun shining. Many thanks to all at the Westmoorland Motor Club for a fantastic trial.

Personally, I can't wait for a credible & affordable adult size electric bike. My son rides an Oset all over the place and no one takes offence. If it was a convensionaly powered bike, the neighbours would have called to police out the first time they heard it.
I too like the sound of bikes, but I'm willing to get over the sound thing if electric bikes mean more places to ride.
You never know Councils, Local Authorities and the water compaines may even open up there land to silent, zero pollution 'ECO' trials events.

I drove past Addingham today & It's not looking good for the weekend, still fully covered in snow & ice.

You're correct to a point.
Within the EU, a UK resident will receive free medical care. However as I found out to my cost, this does not include drugs or accommodation.
In 2005 even with my EU medical card (used to be E111), I was still charged about 300 euro's for a two night hospital stay in France and a couple of pain killers.
My advice to anyone riding a motorcycle event in Europe is book the tunnel. Two hours on a bumpy ferry after a big accident and a few breaks is no fun.

I was told by the dealer the grips & throttle body were moulded as one, but that's aload of bull. The fat grips just cut off like any other bike.
I've done exactly the same as you and my son can now pull the brakes.
-
I've not been at it too long myself. I'd say the best tip i've received so far was shouted at me by Nige from Trials UK "LEAVE THE F**KING CLUTCH ALONE!" it's worked well and really smoothed out my riding.

It's probably been done a hundred times but, does anyone know of trials land/venues in southern Spain - Murcia/Alacante area?
-
Electric bikes, they're coming whether we like it or not.
Anyway, why not just have a seperate class for them.
-
Thanks for the tips Ralphy

As long as you didn't go tarmac, mud, lake!
-
This is my 3 year old son's first ride on his 12.5. He just hasn't worked out how to pull the brakes!
-
Hi all, Dave here I'm based in Yorkshire and still trying to make the switch from Tarmac to mud, not easy!
