TY175 tank should fit frames for the piston ported bikes(mk1/2),but you will need to play with the size of the rubber frame mounts by the headstock from memory they need to be thinner to fit the grooves on the tank...cable tie the seat end with some foam if you can't find a better method cheers

Havn't checked rear tyres...but the diffreence on the front between pirelli and michlen (both tubed type) is just over a kilo or 2.2 pounds in the michlens favour I guess that the difference at the back would be more ..hope this helps

high does your bike habve the original amal levers ? compare these to a set of new dominos the distance from the lever to the end of the cable adjusters is almost a cm longer on the amals giving more pull...this does make a differance helmet
