hi michael no i havant checked the flot what ham i looking for i mean how do i see if it not set right? if it is the flot would that give me problems with the air screw? because when i turn it out even all the way out wich should make the fuel leaner it dosant just stays the same and is smoky ive put new pilot jet in only because the other was the wrong size all the rest are ok and i replaced the fillter because it was really dirty prayed the fillter with pj1 still the same the bike runs well till the plug gets oild up and dies im puting the right oil in so its not that 50 to 1 and im useing casrol scooter 1 2 scroke oil dosant say on the lable if its semi or full so looked on he net it says its a semi so cant be that ive got a bing carb on my other bult so when i get time ill try it see if it makes any diffrance cheers

hi guys just back of my trials hols. ive had problems with the amal carb on my 199A this came with the bike its oiling the plugs up affter a few trials. because its runing to rich ive tryd the air screw ive put new pilot jet in new air fiter still the same can anybody help

thanks for your advice i was thinking around the 250 mark. im looking to get a 206 modle any proplems with that year of modle? what sort of questions should i be asking when buying? sorry for the dumb question just that ive never had a modon trials bike before cheers chris

hi all its my first time on hear normley on the bultaco forum. away ive just restord a classice bultaco sherpa T 350 ive just got back from a trials bike holiday in cornwall really enjoyed it. but now i want a moden trials bike i have two twin shocks so im selling one so i can get a moden on so my question is what size should i get

ok keith ill take the addvice ive got i crack in the top of my alloy tank whats the best wat to seal it even if its just temp?

hi all ive just got aoungher sherpa 199A. its got the alloy tank witch is not to bad but it as a slight spit on the top off the tank were would the bet place to get it fixed in the northwest

hi keith i know im hard work. i did get some semi-synthetice just worrid becaues it dosant smoke as much as this other bultaco ive just got witch probley as fully synthetice in.

hello guys ive just got anougher bultaco 199A kicks up first time runs well thing is the clutch is draging once shes warmed up its ok. i took the clutch ajuster screw off. and the clutch plate nunts or ajusted right to the end do you think they need nipping up or would it be the grub scerw that wants ajusting?

hi mate no its the other way about clockwise is leaner anticlock wise is ritcher. first bottom the air screw clockwise then turn it anticlock wise 3/4 this is the nomal seting for the bing carb hope this helps

keigh ive put a diffrant magneto on and it gose on ok. the weird thing is its the same as the other one so happy days

hi mate theres a place in luton that recrome forks they even pick them up and bring them back all nice and new cost me £167.00 not cheap i know so if your intrested go on line and put pitted forks in hope this helps

hi all ive fited a new eletronic ignition from bultaco uk. and im really at a loose end the thing is when i put the magneto on and tighten the nut up. the magneto locks up dosent do it when i put the old points back plate on. ive sent it back to bultaco uk. and they have tryed it they say theres nothing wrong with it. so i ask them to send it back. and im still having the same problem this is what i think is happening when i tighten the magneto nut up it looks to me as if its pushing on the back plat because the new ignition plate is much thicker than the old one or may be my magneto is to big the depth is about one and a half intches may be this is the problem can anybody help

hi keith yes im using the scerws that came with the kit why would this be the problem? cant see how tho

hi keith yes it fits inside my magneto. but dosant go over the back plate witch i dont think it should do. the onley thing i can think of is that the back plate is to thick not leting the magneto go in far enough. and the other thing i cant get my head around is i know its not the woodruff key. and why is it locking up when i tighten the nut up. the crank shaft onley lets the magneto go so fare on my gess is the magneto is toutching the back plate not leting it go fare enough cant think why it locks up thow
