  1. Anyone had a Citroen Relay / Peugeot Boxer or Fiat Ducato

see them coming up at reasonable money but dont know if they are any good ?

I recently changed my LWB primastar which was my 2nd one and both were absolutely fine.I was struggling to come to terms with prices of new vans, when i was offered by a dealer a 12/07 ducato, 35000m 100bhp 2.2.the price was well under

  2. I think to blame irc tyres particularly is a bit harsh, leaking through the rim tape is not down to the tyre!!!

I have found that a can of the white foam puncture stuff, Fini-lec i think it used to be called cures it .When i bought my new 06 gasser the shop supplied a can ready.

You just have to watch it doesnt block the valve.

  3. Sounds like you got away lightly.

I wonder if so many resources would have been deployed had you rung up to say a gang of scruffy types has nicked your bike and were loading it into the back of a Transit van?

Having spoken to the residents i was upsetting (neighbours) it has since become apparent that the fella is setting up a smallholding, the "said" gate is illegal as its blocking a right of way, his dogs have attacked numerous dog walkers, there is a petition against noise he is creating, and he is a full on prick.I wasnt aware who he was,but i am now!

As in my post, about my stolen bike i said to the police much of the same as you have said, the answer was "everybody throws that one at us".

Had they caught me riding the bike it may have been a different story.

  4. Having bought a replacement fan and studied bigfoots instructions didnt fancy it,so i took bike to a local fella to sort it,picked it up sunday afternoon. As we are rural i thought i'd take it down the lane opposite our house to see how it was.I wouldnt normally do this having had my 06 nicked i keep it out sight. After 10-15 mins every thing seemed fine, but rear brake seemed spongy. I was riding in and out of a dike, middle of nowhere. I noticed a bloke looking at me, then shut a gate and padlocked it.I rode over poliely asked if he would open it. "No.And i've rung the police". About a mile and a half across fields , dykes, lanes etc.etc. down the next the neighbours back garden parked it up in my garage.I could see local plods car parked on the road opposite, what i didnt see was two police x-trails down the lane, then the Fu***ng helicopter appear from behind the houses. As the bike was away in the garage had a stroll over, and asked them what was up,"MOTORBIKER UPSETTING THE RESIDENTS" came the reply. So i told them it was me,and they could now manage without putting the country in an even worse state, wasting money on an expensive helicopter.Ended up having name and address taken and told them i was on a ZX1000. To be honest, they were ok. The fans fine but back brake seems to have gone.........

  5. Hello rockyrider,

thank you for reply, but I have red silicon and it will not look nicely. Don't you know, if I can put the window out from cover without destroy it?

it used to leak on my beta, i'm sure it could be tightened up (threaded). just a thought.

  6. why oh why couldnt I have seen this before buying one for the gg during the summer!!!loked everywhere for a cheap replacement then fnally bit the bullet!

Just got my replacement from cornwall boat shop, keep looking at it and putting it off, dont really fancy attempting it!!!!!!

  7. i think thats great news, keeps dougie involved with trials at the heighest level, hopefully can take gasgas to enduro at the heighest level, john shirt (as much as he likes dibsta)must be absoloutely creaming his pants.hopefully he will ride a red gasser, not a gold one.

  8. Hi, i recently over tightened the nipple on my rear calliper and snapted the head off leaving the rest of the nipple indide the casing. I would like to know , firstly is there now anyway of bleeding it without the nipple, and has anyone have suggestions on how to get the nipple out of the calliper????

take the caliper off,go to dms motorcycle spares in town, you want a bleed nipple 1mm bigger than whats in,(

  9. Ive had new 01 02 03 05 Beta Rev3 and yes they always run but never that well. As for Mr J Lampkin then he is fantastic and goes beyond customer service, an amazing credit to Beta.

Well me Gasser runs way better and rides way better, however when it goes wrong it really does. I now have learnt how to rebuild the bike every little nut n bolt. Gas Gas provide next day and Mr Hipwell has help me rebuild my gearbox with his advice over the phone. Next bike GasGas 2011.

I guess its just pot luck at the end of the day.
