Where To Get Trials Numbers?
Does anybody know where to get the paper numbers from that you stick on the front of your bike? I would imagine there must be one or two organisers on here who can point me in the right direction. Cheers.

Help Please
I've dealt with Terry a few times. Forget email, texts and all that new fangled stuff and phone him instead. He's straightforward and easy to deal with and dead reliable. You don't get ripped off with postage either. All the gear I've had off him has been good. The only exception being his top selling kickstarts! Fine for trials bikes - the one on the B40 worked a treat - but the one on my 500 cheney bent when it kicked back, but that's at 11:1 compression ratio. I've now retarded the ignition a tad. Once bitten......

Electronic Ignition
Get it fitted! My nephew raced a stormer. When he fitted electronic ignition it transformed the bike. Easier starting, crisper pick up and smoother running throughout the rev range.

Clutch Slip
Clutch plates at Telford today from Bultaco UK

Clutch Slip
The clutch on my M80 slips when I kick it over - not all the time but enough to make it a pain. When its running its not a problem. What's the best thing to do? Fit new plates or springs or both? Not cheap especially if I need a special tool to remove the pins. Any advice welcome. Cheers

New Twinshock Frame For Bsa Unit Single
I think that's a very good point. Its up to the current generation of ageing pre 65 riders to encourage younger riders to have a go. Its easy to dismiss all young people as lazy wasters who don't want to work etc etc (yawn) but that ain't the case. I say stop being miserable old gits and encourage young blood. Without that, as I said earlier, pre 65 is dying a slow death.

New Twinshock Frame For Bsa Unit Single
The same thing that happened to the British car and motorcycle industry! Wiped out by creative, inventive and talented foreign engineers, whilst the old gits who ran our industries stuck their heads in the sand.

Classic Off Road Show
Excellent show. Well worth it.

New Twinshock Frame For Bsa Unit Single
Correct. The James was last year's toy.

New Twinshock Frame For Bsa Unit Single
Like I said before - evolution. I wonder how many people will be riding cubs in a few years time?

New Twinshock Frame For Bsa Unit Single
Is pre-65 dying a slow death? The same sort of thing is happening in pre-65 scrambling. Lots of meetings were cancelled last year due to lack of entries. The twinshock scene however is by comparison very healthy. Riders grow old and retire. The younger riders want to ride the bikes they rode in their youth - now likely to be twinshocks. Twinshocks are generally cheaper to buy and don't need lots of expensive trick bits to be competitive, so 'cheating' isn't an issue. You can ride a stock bike like you did back in the seventies. Perhaps trials is evolving in the same way. I've traded in the B40, bought a stock Bultaco and got two and half grand in change. Mind you I will need that to keep the CCM running......
