    TR34 rebuild

Hi, I am starting to gather parts for my TR34 rebuild and wondered if you could post a picture of your back brake assembly as I need some inspiration and wish to find out which parts I am missing etc. Your project looks very nice so far. Cheers Tony
  3. Hi, I'm rebuilding a mates bike that been apart for several months. I'm struggling to remember where each part of the loom bolts/attaches to the frame? In particular I am not 100% sure where the CDI and other parts are mounted? Does anybody have any pics? Or perhaps a few hints to get be going again lol. Cheers Tony

    Beta TR34 piston

Sorry I have not been on here for a while. Thank you for all the advice. I'm thinking a zerof may be an option but I will need to investigate clearances etc. Guest, please can you provide any more info about your new piston? Cost? supplier/engineer? Also, where is a zero 260 piston available? Cheers Tony

    Beta TR34 piston

Hi, I'm struggling to locate a new 260cc piston. JLI do not stock them any more but I wondered if a Beta Zero 260cc piston would fit? However I'm not sure if a water cooled piston can be used in an air cooled engine?
  6. Hi, does anyone know where I can get a Montesa Honda 349 workshop manual, 1982 or similar year? I've looked on this forum & google but can't find anything? A simple owners manual would be a good start but I have an engine rebuild to do so a workshop manual would be very useful. Cheers Tony
  7. Cheers for the help. Pumps now off.
  8. Sorry, new phone with predictive text. Post title = scorpa sy250 water pump impeller removal
  9. Trying to remove the water pump impeller in order to remove the RHS engine case to inspect the clutch. Does the impeller pull off with the Case? I do not want to simply pull the impellor out if it's fixed behind the case etc and potentially break something . I can only assume that the impeller & shaft assemble can be pulled out with some pliers or the impeller is attached to the shafts with a LH thread? Either way do I pull the impellor off with the Case or am I missing something? The impeller appears to be the only thing holding case on now that I have removed the bolts, kick-start & water pump case. Cheers Tony

  12. Hi, I purchased a Montesa 349 in December which is my first twin shock/classic bike after riding modern Trials for 20 years. The bike is on a Q plate (UK) but States it's a 1982 model on the log book but I thought I'd pick some of your brains regarding a few queries. 1. Looking through this forum I'm pretty sure it's a 349 mk4 as it has a grey frame & red tank with the small rubber seat. The tag on the head stock states Montesa Honda 349. So am I correct? Or do you guys need more info? 2. I purchased a new front sprocket guard from InMotion Trials but it appears my bike is missing some fixings. The guard appears to be a push fit, where my bike is missing two of the three lugs that I believe it's meant to interface with. Could any of you post a pic of the area I'm interested in as I'm thinking of making up something in the workshop. A few ideas for inspiration. Anyway thanks for your time reading this & I've ridden the bike a few times now. It runs lovely and I think a previous owner has spent a lot of time restoring it as it runs well and looks very good for a 33 year old bike. Cheers Tony
  13. I have lost my CD manual & doing my fork seals. The links on the beta website to the factory manuals are for the standard model. I assume this means that the fork oil height for the standard & Factory 250 Evo's are the same? I cant imagine the forks on each model differing significantly? Any ideas? Tony
  14. The 13 factory. 250 engine is the same as a standard 13, so does anyone know the correct height for this model? Anyone??????
  15. Hiya, I have owned a few Evo's from new and for the earlier models the manual said to lower the needle 1 notch after it was run in. I am not sure if this is still correct for the 13 factory 250? What is the standard needle height setting? Cheers Tony
  16. After riding Beta's in Scotland for the last 6 six and had excellent support from Lampkins I am riding a 4RT this year. Does anyone know if there will be any support for Montesa riders this year in the parc ferme? Pidcocks are no longer the importers and I have heard rumours that Craigs Motorcycles will not be in Scotland. Those of you that know me will know that JLI have got me out of some serious trouble in the past!!! Being a Southerner I tend to crash through the rocks towards the end of the week lol. Has anybody else heard any news? See you in May!!! Cheers Tony
  17. Has anybody made a drain for there Beta Rev 3 air box. I am riding Scotland so I think I best make one asap. I have an idea of how to make one just wondered if anyone else had made one. Any pics or advice appreciated. My bike is an 07 250 model Cheers Tony
  18. Any results online? Probably the best trial I have ridden this year so far

    Rev 3 Spare Wheel

I currently have a Sherco rear wheel which I used as a spare for my Gasser and Sherco. I have just ordered a Beta 250 07 2T. Will my sherco wheel fit? The hubs do not look the same, but without physically trying to fit the wheel I will never know if they are. Any info or advice appreciated. Cheers Tony
  22. I am picking up an 07 4RT this week after selling my Sherco. I have a spare rear Sherco wheel and was wondering if this would fit the 4RT. I can make up any spacers etc on a lathe etc, so any advice welccome. Cheers Tony Ps how much is a brand new rear wheel with a disc and sprocket?
  23. I dropped 150 but to be honest I always drop over 100 at all of the Novagars. I think the sections were spot on as Id rather ride something challenging so that I am always learning. I dont think I had any big crashes but was very late on time so had to skip a few sections. All of the novagars are good compared to a Basingstoke trial down south riding in a ditch for five laps lol. Bring on the Wallace!!!!!!!!!!!! Tony
