I just picked a nice M27 but can't seem to find the frame number. I checked the usual places, headstock and above the footpeg.
Has anyone come across this before.?
The bike was apparently bought new in 1967 in Spain then shipped to Canada shortly there after by the same person. He then got injured and the. Bike sat in storage for the next 45 years.
As already stated heat is your best friend for disassembly and reassembly. I would suggest making up a tool to help split cases. That is one that pushes crank shaft and gear shaft out of bearings to separate cases.
I know there was some "discussion" about the aluminium head steady found on some later model 199Bs. Has anyone found any retailer selling these later types?
Looks like the 2017 model info is out. Doesn't look like a 300 engine. I can't really see any differences besides aesthetics? Anyone else see any changes?
My 2015 had an oil leak out of the water pump seal, oil side. Oil was coming out of the small hole at pump. It was brand new out of the box. Might pay to check that.
