  1. try checking the woodruff key first - remove the flywheel cover ( plastic cover just infront of your left foot when your on the bike) and i think you have to remove the flywheel and you will see where the 'key' should sit and if its sheared or not. i have had this a few times causing same symptons as you where it cut out and then wouldnt go and can only get a backfire.  im pretty sure its a fairly simple job - just when it happened to me someone else has done the work on the bike for me as i didnt have a fly wheel puller.

  2. hi, i did this on my 15 125 back in june,  either type of packing works, i prefer stringy stuff coz its easier to fit and sounds better ( in my opnion ) .   from memory there are two maybe 3 screw holding the end can on.  one of these you need to remove the plastic black thing that goes on the back of the tank and exhaust. there is a bolt for this at the top of it under the rear mudgaurd/ just to the left of the silencer.  then there should be another bolt you can see. i couldnt get to this with my tools so for some reason i cant remember i had to take the whole silencer of to do it. sorry for being vague, hope that helps though.

  3. 15 has been the best year yet for the sherco 125, had no problems on it other than the jet clogging in the carb which was down to dirty fuel. the gear box is very positive and never had any jumps or issues, on the 14 and 15 the quality is alot better than previous bikes. ill be getting a 16 soon so pm if your interested in mine, its mint, im down south.

  4. i had this issue so bady until i figured out what to do haha. even missed a trial because  of it!  you want to put a little bit of grease around the carb where the hose slides onto. and also a little bit in the hose. smear it round( dont use lots, just enough to help it slide on) .  try putting it on now, if it does not go on easily now try this - try getting the side closest to the shock on first. this makes it easier to get it all on becuase the shock side is the hardest. to do this loosen the clip at the read block side so the carb can move around slightly more. then rest the airbox in its position, lightly, dont get bolting it all in yet, you want to be able to move the airbox around abit. now you want to pull the back end of the carb towards you a little. hold it there and move the airbox into place and then push the carb back so the shock side of the hose will go onto the carb first and then it all should clip in nicely . i had lots of trouble with this and once i got the knack it was easy.  hope you can make sense of that :)

  5. varies on a number of factors. my fairly new gasgas fan only came on once during a hot evening trial! where as in a cold trial it was on alot of the time. this is because of the different style of riding for each condition.  some times it will come on after a couple of mins sometimes it will take longer just depends.

any way a few months later i had an issue , i noticed the fan hadn't run in a long time and the top of the radiator was spitting out alot of steam and water once at operating temp. also had lost lights and electrics except the spark plug obviously because the bike was running. turned out to be a faulty voltage regulator. i disconnected it and used the bike with out it for a while just being careful not to over rev it with the fan on because will burn it out etc. once new part arrived all good and worked like normal again. as faussy said above check the thermostat too but also check the voltage regulator. ( not the big black box the other smaller one with a white connection and not many wires coming out of it .  check both andlet us know how u get on

  6. yes you have to use the correct size barrel piston etc. i think gasgas uk do a cylinder exchange service. where you gave them your old parts and pay abit and you get the correct size or whatever one you wanted.  give gguk a call and you will get an answer.

or alternatively give R and T a call (south yorkshire) , they have it on their website as doing it
