Aargh, '04 2.5 fork spring spacer jammed in rebuild
had the same problem last night doing the fork seals on my beta, the plastic spacer was jammed in the fork leg, ended up bending it a bit with a screwdriver, enough to get a set of long nose pliers on it, and pulled it out. was well stuck in there! found a bit plastic pipe that was slightly smaller, cut it to size and put that back in instead, works a treat. cant help with the metal ring..

250 vs 300 / standard vs factory
just sold my old 2009 beta evo 250 and bought a beta evo 2014 300 factory and love it, i find it easier to ride than my old bike, power seems so much more smother. I'm a novice rider, only done a hand full of trials, best thing to do is try and get a shot on one before you buy.

Chain
hi no expert, but think you should have a chain slider that sits on top of your swing arm... could be wrong as its an old bike, but most new bike have them.

Looking at buying new bike
Not insulted mate, i do alot of riding up the hills/ mountains around where i stay, there is alot of long steep climbs, where sometimes i feel the 250 bogs down a bit. Im 6.2 and about 15 stone. Just feel the 300 would give me that little bit more grunt.

Looking at buying new bike
Hi Upgrading my old beta evo250 2009 for something newer, torn between 2 bikes, beta evo 300 2015 or beta evo factory 300 2014. Both clean bike for around the same money. Any pros or cons for the 2 bikes? Which would be best? Cheers.

Hi Anyone on this site, silver astra van, with beta evo 2013 and older gasgas on the trailer. Just wondering where you ride in aberfeldy area? I'm from Aberfeldy, always looking for new places to ride. Gary- Gear For The Taller Rider.
I,m 6'3, I also wear jitsie trousers, they are still short on the leg, but you don't notice, once your boots are on. I'm a 36" waist so I bought the xxl, they fit good. MX clothing tends to be a bit bigger fitting and a bit longer on the leg.- Looking For Trials Meet Or Club In Perthshire?
Perth and district mcc, just recently joined myself. Done my second trial in feb at lochlane, loved it. Friendly bunch, made to feel welcome.- What's It From?
Still can't find what it's off, it's not an exhaust mount, it's too big, looks about the same size as the swing arm mounts.... Convinced its of one of the bikes. The bolt must b about 3" long, 10mm head and the washers about 1.5"?- What's It From?
thanks for your help. i had a quick look round the bikes when i found it, but couldn't see anything missing. I will have a better look tonight and let you know how I got on. cheers Gary- What's It From?
Does any one know, what the bolt and rubber washers/ spacers are from? I was unloading our bikes out of my van and noticed them, lying on the floor.- 2001 Rear Shock
hi my beta rev3 has a betor gas rear shock... am i right in saying its not the correct shock for my bike? i have been strugling to get grip in the wet, i was thinking my rear shock might be the problem. has anyone tried the bosi rear shock, was thinking about replacing the betor for the bosi. any help or advice, would be appreciated cheers gary.- Need Help With Buying A Bike
I bought my first trials bike about 8 months ago for £850, its a 2001 beta rev3 250. Ive never had any problems with it. It scared the crap out of me the first few times i used it. If its your first trials bike you will do ALOT of falling off, atleast with a older bike, you dont feel as bad if you break something, or put another scratch on it. Once you get the hang of it, save up and buy something newer. Take your time and try finding the best you can for your budget.- Van Hire For A 20 Year Old
what about one of those bike delivery services, not got a clue how much they cost, but it could be an option if your really stuck. - Spoted A In Aberfeldy, Silver Astra Van With 2 Bikes On Trailer.
