what grade of oil do you use ? i use 10 - 40 semi synt is that ok or should i use higher viscosity oil ?

did you got it sorted ? what setting are you running now on the ignition ? i would also like to know what valve clearence you use on the R cam i use whats in the cub manual but that seems very noisy kind regards bob

i use ngk bp4hs on my cub and it works fine

i cant see the difference between the bikes john builds and a 2015 bantam of trick majesty or a fantic with monoshock engine its the rider that will win the trial not the bike

i had a 2007 one also not easy to start and not nice to ride a friend got me an oko 24 mm carb and it was a diferent bike starts perfect and a lot smoother and i used a bosch super plus plug a mate had one with more flywheel and that was perfect ! i took the decompressor out it rattles at low revs and that cant be good

In europe (belgium netherlands and france) shell V power 98 does not contain ethanol and is ok for old engines

i did the same used a shim to get 34mm yamaha forks to fit into a 35mm yoke it works perfect

i have 145 main 27.5 pilot jet

very nice bike ! why is the front pipe so long ? i have seen that on some bsa's others have really short front pipes

it is an electrex world ignition so you sugest to make the marks aline when the bike is running ? using a strobe

i was just running in the garden, checked the timing and it seemed a bit advanced not retarded air filter is clean bike has not run a trial yet i think the engine has done 5 h of running in now the marks aline at TDC (upb electronic ignition)

Hello, my tiger cub is running very hot, the front bend in the exhaust gets red hot ( only visible in the dark) if has a full armac exhaust and it runs nice, idles fine and revs fine is it normal the front bend gets that hot ? ( doesnt take long after 5 min of running its red hot) anyone else who uses armac exhaust ? could it be these stainless exhausts get hotter ? used to have a 320 sherco 4 stroke and that exhaust also got red hot any advise to keep a cub cooler ? kindest regards bob

there is a conversion piston and cylinder 250 cc on short stroke and 270 on the long stroke that seems to work fine mine is 230 short stroke

mike mills rode his bike in pre 65 so why should your bike not be legal ?

very nice cub !!! the bsa's are nice to i have a b40 to that is quite good but not nice to look at when the cub is ready i'm going to tidy the b40 i like the 2nd bsa from the otter site

i'm not intressed in riding scotland in europe rules are not so tight my bsa has ty rear and fantic front wheel and thats ok over here i'll see if the ty wheel fits my cub frame i found some nice hercules forks from light enduro/army bike seems to be perfect for a light cub frame is armac so scotland is not an option and i dont want to build a bike for 1 trial i might have a chance to ride in some years i got some prices for hubs 480 £ for 2 hubs and brake plates are the a lot lighter then stock hubs ? these are for sale from £20 kind regards

hello, i'm building a tiger cub and i'm looking for wheels and forks where can i get hubs (alloys) or what do i need to do to improve the stock hubs (i heard i should make the back hub wider) i have a aprilia mono fork (35mm) i would like to modify so it looks pre 65 who are the enginiers that can do something like that anyone has contact data from them ( email or phone ? ) kind regards bob
