correct these are used only on speedway bikes, but not hard to put on a trials bike would only need a large rear disk and you would be fine

on the the oset they have a key? cant you just have something like string on your sons wrist and on the key so if he do's fall of it put the key out and turns off the bike? (know nothing about osets, just thinking of what ive seen)

weresthe front mudguard , try to get an open face helmet not a bmx one just to be a bit safer as ive cracked the helmets before they dont take much of an impact

Think of a light swtich, when is turned off the bigger part faces the turned off bit so it almost like rejecting it so on the gas gas if the bigger bit faces the 1 side Map 2 is on or the other way round hope it helps

No on the evo the switch is under the top left plastic and has a 1 or 2 on there just not sure the diffence but you maybe right so thanks anyway
