  1. Bvm-moto have got it in stock, expensive but when you feel the clutch, you know where your money has gone, first class and makes quite a big differance.

    Their website is www.bvm-moto.co.uk

  2. i presume its higher than the rev 3 then ?. The centrifugal (spelling :dunce: ) force generated by the 4t motor might make a difference though ?. I know the monty 4rt feels miles more stable than the 315 (not sure if the 4rt is lower or higher) ...... might be the motor ? ... any extreamly clever people out there know how the 4t would differ from the 2t motor (centrifugal force terms :banana2: )

  3. :dunce: ... Still only 2 bangs for me at the moment mate :banana2: , I heard it was going to be very muddy today up in Northumberland, so went to Warden for a bit hard core training :D .

    Havent got my new bike yet .... you doin the Durham trial nxt week ? .. might be 4 banging again by then :D

    What about the stunning beta 4t, anyone got any first hand views ?

  4. <_<:crying: Had the exact same problem on a gasser once ... it turned out to be the jetting ! .. worth a try before a full strip down or new rings, rebore etc.

    I'd describe the problem I had as 'heavy pinking' <_<

  5. I havent seen any of these at the local trials yet. Anyone out there got one and if so ..... you lucky devil ..... how is it to ride ???, hows the suspension, power, turning, weight, brakes .... DOES THE BUGGER START OK WHEN WARM ?

    <_<<_<:crying:

  6. For a daytime MOT you will need a 1) Speedo (wireless mountian bike one from Halfords is just the job) 2) Brake light (front and back brakes need signals) 3) Horn - mega blaster (from Halfords) 4) Log Book 5) Tax disc 6) insurance.

    For a full MOT you need all of the above plus front and back lights with the front having main and dipped beam.

    You also need a bike licence !

  7. Thanks for the advice guy's, the mountain bike lights are a great idea, although cos i've got about a mile of road, the bike would also need to be legal.

    All, who replied - PM me for free santiveri / montesa / repsol stickers ... just let me know what you want.

    Cheers .. Daggs :):D:(;):(:D

  8. Does anyone out there know of any alternative longride seat options other than the Mitani one ?. I'm looking to use my monty to travel 3.5 miles per day to and from work (i can do most of this off road on a green lane with a few nice little sections to play on :D . I would need to do about a mile on the road though :) , has anyone tried their 4RT on the road ?, or the longride seats ?.

    My other problem as winter kicks in is lights ;) I'm almost sure it does something to the power if you fit them back on ?? anyone know know the score here (ferrett). If it does then I'll have to look at the installing a rechargable 12v battery (probally in the long ride seat) to power the lights. dont suppose anyone has tried this .... or looked at what can be done, have you ?

    Cheers ..... :(:(

  9. If you mean where I think you mean then it is potentially a very sensitive area, partly due to there being no parking to speak of, and its location is best kept off the internet. We don't want to lose this one after forty years or so of happy use. Just look what's happened to Addingham Moorside. Ask anyone at the next trial and you should get an answer to your question.

    Like it's hard to find !, it's hardly the best kept secret !. Either go to Queenferry and ask any local .... or get on the road to Glasgow from Queenferry, look left and you will see it, long climbs covered in lines from dirt bikes, easy to work out from there.

    Lots of mx'ers / enduro riders use it however, some great trials sections and water round the back, not to deep, nice.

    PM me if you need exact directions... :beer:

  10. I'm not sure I'd want to do a drain after every race, I think I'd rather go with cota kid's idea .... and spray it with Lynx !!!.

    Must admit though, it is a nice smell, if it were bottled, i'd use it for work ! ..... then spend hours telling the young enquiring ladies that it's "burned super unleaded with a hint of castrol in it"

    In summary, chos smell and love it but all this talk of draining means it's to much hasstle (in my opinion)

    Thanks for all the reply's lads .... look at this spooky one of the monty that I took tonight after riding and jetwash ....... :thumbup::DB)

  11. Second year at Hawkstone and it was mint. But again this year the team 4RT's are deffinatly running more than just 'super unleaded' in the tank ! Does anyone know what it actually is ? . Smells like the stuff you would use on model petrol engines or something ... or is it a mix of that and normal fuel ??.

    If it is some sort of high octane fuel then would this shorten the life of the engine components ?, has anyone used it and what is the differance in the power charactristics ?

    It's a real 'petrol head' subject this one :beer: (pardon the pun, couldnt resist)

    Hard luck to Doug, I thought he put in a good ride on the sections that I was lucky enough to see him on... he didnt seem to have as much crowd 'roars' this year !... just my view !

    VIVA FUJI <_<:beer::wub:B):D:D

  12. Gent's,

    After riding down south in the mud, grass and clay for just over a year, I'm looking forward to riding some good ol' rock and stream beds !, I say this cos i'm Moving to County Durham (Chester-le-street) in early aug. Has anyone got any idea's on were to practice or an opinion on the best local club / clubs to join ?

    If anbody goes out practising near County Durham / tyneside and doesnt mind a 30 something 'C' route rider tagging along, please give me a shout

    Cheers .. Darren :rolleyes::hyper::marky:
