Personally I would support a cull for over 70s.

Solve the pensions NHS and housing crisis in a oner.

The state the country's in It's the only decent thing to do

Glad  I am this side of the border, not yours.

  2. I have had same running problems caused by stale fuel. float level should be 4.33 to 6.35mm below top of float chamber.

check if the carb has a pilot bush fitted. these are equal to a 25 pilot jet. a smaller pilot jet will work as it should, but going larger than 25 will not. the bush is visible

behind the pilot adjusting screw. if you need to go larger drill through with 2mm drill.

  3. The lists that are available have big gaps in the data, but B560... is listed as 1976. like cleanorbust says, most were registered for the road. Get the frame HPI checked out by someone

in the motor trade. hopefully you can get the original number back. (the dvla aren't very helpful with frame numbers)

  4. pictures would be best, the frame number lists are notorious for missing numbers and gaps. Is the engine number the same? on front right engine mount.

as parts fit from mark1 mar through to even some gripper parts, there is a lot of usable but mix and matched bikes.

  5. not enough info. is the handle bar lever springy, ie, can you feel it operating the clutch? if it is but the clutch don't dis-engage, yes the plates could be stuck. but that wont stop  your lever returning. is the hinge bolt on lever too tight? is the lever on the mag cover springy???

as for the carb, what is it? we need a few clues!!

  6. did you paint anything whilst it was apart?. you had a kill button and a weak spark, removed the button, no spark. buttons work by going to ground. have you painted over earthing points? try eathing coil to engine.

ps, sorry for leading you up the woodruff key path!

  7. I do not recall wes ever making an ossa specific silencer. but what I think has happened  to yours is that the main silencer is bent. years of being dropped on left side

and parking against trees bends the pipe at its narrowest, where it mounts behind the shock. has your side panel been melted as well?

the bracket that bolts it to the frame gets bent and forces it all too close to the tyre. (they left the factory with 4 inch tyres).

a bit of heat and straightening required.
