So there was I thinking this makeover on the bike would be a 2 minute job .
Long story short ... Eventually decided that I wanted to put a factory sticker kit on my bike and do the frame white so ordered the sticker kit through my local dealer.
He was told it would be here in a week ( which ends today ).
I get a call from him this morning saying that they are no longer available??
How can a sticker kit from last years bike not still be available.
I do have a 2014 tr280 sticker kit here but wanted something a bit different. Frame is lying bare and ready to be powder coated
Is there a 2014 factory kit? Anyone post a pic?
Sorry not the best of pics .... black and white with a plug to the kill switch
Red and black on the other plug goes to the CDI located on the back of the headlight mask
All the little white square plugs are really unused and go to the instrument panel on the explorer
I THINK I'm right in saying the bullet connectors are for the duel map switch.
The wires for the lights are often removed ... it is a separate little loom that connects down at the left of the rectifier on a white plug .... sorry I forgot to take a pic of this but If you look at the pic I took whilst stripping the bike it is the plug to the very right side of the bike
When we took my lads out we just took the 5 bolts out , front sprocket off, gear selector lever off and gently hit the output shaft after covering it in WD40. If you follow the instructions you can't go wrong.
As has already been mentioned ... make sure it is in gear

I totally forgot all about the pics sorry. Seems you have got it sussed now though ?
I'm in the garage tomorrow for sure so if you still need them no probs
Have changed my mind and still want to go with the powdercoat. Still a bit worried though as to whether it's going to fall apart afterwards.
I took it into the powder coaters today for a look and he thinks it has maybe been put together after the parts have been powdered.
Anyone familiar with the construction process of the Ossa frame. Anyone powder coated theirs?
I have looked on Ebay and you can get the tools very cheaply but if you are like me and have no patience and want things done 'RIGHT NOW' .... the pen lid is ideal
Have tried that ( maybe I haven't done it correctly though ) but no joy. They definitely push in a bit but won't come out. Scared to break them as no doubt they wont be cheap.
Will ring the importer tomorrow and ask
Have totally stripped the bike down to the frame for powder coating but still have the fuel pump to remove. It seems to have quick connectors on the fuel lines but I have no idea how to separate them.
Anyone know how?
Well that's good news ... Aluminium is easier to powder coat than magnesium ... now my only worry is that the heat of the powder coaters oven doesn't make the glue disappear and the front end fall off my bike
Can anyone tell me what material the headstock / fuel tank on the Ossas are made of?
For some reason I had it in my mind that it was magnesium but can't find anything to back this up.
Still looking to powdercoat my frame so just need to know what it is made of before I get quotes.
Anyone know what glues / chemicals they use during the bonding process?
Thanks for the info Steveo
So there is a difference in the ECU's? Didn't realise that. I thought the same ECU has been used from the start and they can all take any map
I would disagree with that .... I have 2 friends with 11 bikes that have given them no problems whatsoever except the gearboxes which were replaced under warranty. Both bikes have been at trials nearly every weekend since new
