  1. Also: Does anyone have a photo of a TXT Pro 125 flywheel just for reference, I cannot find a photo anywhere!
  2. Hey all, Recently bought this TXT Pro Racing 2015 125cc second hand and was wondering if this is a flywheel weight or standard? The manual seems to show a similar unit but it's hard to tell if it's exactly the same from the aspect of the image. Many thanks!
  3. Where I have it now feels okay, but it doesn't give you as much freedom as the Grimeca Mcyl
  4. Photo is not of my bike, but identical set up. If I move the master close to the throttle tube, so outboard of the bike. A (the base of the brake lever) eventually will start to hit B (the back of the throttle tube). This never happened on my Beta no matter how close I put the two.
  5. All good then, if you just using it for a run about then the 250/280 won't be a problem. Enjoy
  6. Hey all, I was adjusting my F/Brake lever position outboard today and I noticed that if I try to move the master cylinder/lever too close to the throttle it ends up fouling. Is this normal? Never noticed this on my Beta. Throttle is the standard domino, Master cylinder is also the standard one fit to the bike (braktec).
  7. Ha! It's normally somewhere fairly memorable, I'm happy to leave them in the bush near trials section because the MX guys don't normally venture out that far and it's a mile away from the carpark.
  8. Word of caution, riding a bike around a paddock or open field is by no means indicative to riding between the tapes. Once it gets tight, the larger capacity bike will just punish you for every mistake you make. I'd strongly urge you to do a full day training course and try a larger capacity bike before you take that route. We've got Expert riders in our club who only ride 250's. Trials is a precision sport and generally more power only equates to more problems. http://www.wdtc.org.au/trials-training/which-size-bike-for-beginner.htm
  9. As a person who rides a 125... get a 125. I've been told many times that for my starting weight of 100 kg as of 2 years ago I needed a 250-280 cc bike. The 125 has plenty of power even for my weight, maybe the suspension struggled a bit when I was at my heaviest but with your weight of 155 lbs you're perfectly sized for the bikes suspension and the power is plenty for a beginner. Watch the first few minutes of this video and you'll see these guys are your weight/height and only 3~ years younger and they're doing fine on 125's. Alternatively, visit a local trials school and have a go on all the various capacities.
  10. I normally have a fanny pack that I leave off the trail somewhere hidden and far away from the car in the trials sections.
  11. The Ryan Young series is really good, his advanced DVD is also worth a watch which can be purchased from the splatshop.co.uk. I'm not thrilled that someone has pirated his stuff and put it on YouTube though.
  12. It's odd because he doesn't seem to use it on the TRS, interesting...
  13. Thanks all, I'll give it a go
  14. I did notice that the grease was also all over the metal plate that bridges the contacts inside the switch. I've done a quick bit of reading about dielectric grease and most recommendations are to not place it on electrical contact surfaces. Is it possible in this case that the force of the magnet is strong enough to negate any grease on the contact surfaces?
  15. After having a few problems with my kill switch (which ended up being an issue elsewhere now resolved) I've pulled it apart and cleaned it up, originally it had a clear grease inside and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what type of grease is used? It looks like a silicone grease, it was transparent and non-conductive. I assume the grease is used to only provide anti-corrosive properties and lubrication for the mechanism.
  16. I get all mine form the splatshop too
  17. Can you describe what type of material it is?
  18. For rear wheel hops? I wonder if it's similar to the stuff they use on skateboards. I'd think rubber grip would be a little easier on the boots. Thoughts?
  19. Looking at a few pictures of Adam's bike I noticed the black grip tape/protectors just above the pegs on the frame (seen in both photos) does anyone know what this is and what it's for?
  20. I think apart from the terrible documentation and lack of torque settings for basic items, the bike itself on the outside is well thought out. Only time will tell I guess
  21. Hey all, just purchased a 2015 GasGas second hand and I've got some questions I'm struggling to find the answers too. Torque specs, do any more exist that what is in the manual? What is the stock distance the forks should protrude out of the top triple clamp? (the black portion) How simple is changing the oil in the forks? Thanks all!
  22. Just out of curiosity if you pinch the conductor coil wires you wrapped around the spark plug with your fingers, what happens to the RPM?
  23. Recently bought a 2015 Gasser and just went to try and access some of the videos, very sad to see this channel go.
