  1. I made a pair of intake & exhaust caps. (I don't regret buying a lathe) Washing in an auto center. I insisted on the painting which was going away. (I'm going to repaint all that) Back home, drying. Disassembly with no other surprise than 2 cylinder studs in love with their nuts. The cranckshaft is beautiful. No rust from what I saw. The connecting rod looks good. The ignition housing is well ventilated. No rust at all. Just dust.
  2. Cleaning, upper and lower engine alignment, replacement of crankshaft bearings, gearbox output bearing, selection barrel and spy gasket. All new crankshaft and titanium screws.
  3. I found a new cylinder - piston assembly. (but without the rings) Although I haven't opened the engine yet, I jumped at this chance. These original parts are difficult to find. I found the upper ring at one dealer and the lower ring at another. It gives you an idea of the puzzle of restoring these motorcycle. I will sell my complete (old but good) top engine. It will make someone happy.
  4. To carry out my other projects, I bought a 3rd 315R. A 2002 model. The objective of this one is to make a replica completely overhauled motorcycle, precise and efficient as the original for regular riding. The original fork (in very good condition) went on the Ogawa RTLF Replica. The fork (black tubes) of the 4rt (now RTLF) takes place after a major overhaul on this 315R The shock absorber is completely overhauled (gaskets, buffer, drain, pressure, ball joints) New linkage, new rockers. Carbon swingarm protection, and carbon kevlar fork guard. Swingarm pad, crown guard, front number plate, gas barrel, original grips. The covering receives a two-component varnish resistant to hydrocarbons. The engine will be opened and overhauled. Overhaul of brake calipers (ultrasound, special grease, etc.) Ultrasonic carburetor overhaul and new parts (gaskets, bushel, needle, idle jet) Some stickers taking the look of Lampkin's 2002 motorcycle... and frankly, I find it super pretty. Engine overhaul report: - piston from Vertex - connecting rod from Italkit - main bearings and seals - water pump seals - Sprocket seal - various joints necessary for reassembly I hope you enjoy. Alain from France.
  5. I have found 2x OEM crankshaft and conrod. So, I remove the Italkit for an other 315R. The flywheel was machined from 3.5kg to 3kg. The engine is running well. No vibration, no leeks. Great and Happy !
  6. New shift drum Light weight flywheel and overhaul showa shock with race spec.
  7. Hi, Hope you will enjoy this project bike. Historical review. (google translate ...) Dougie had been riding for Beta for ages. He won the 97. 98. 99 world outdoor titles on the Techno. For the year 2000, Montesa - Honda offers the services of the English champion. In the commercial career of the 315R, the year 2000 saw the arrival in series of the Showa fork and the DID rims mounted on machined and polished hubs in their center. Doug's factory bike will foreshadow the 2001 production model in the following ways: -A longer exhaust tip. -A swingarm assembly modified to accommodate a caliper hidden behind it. (the rear hubs are narrower) -A shock absorber with a longer center distance and a slightly shorter stroke. -A slightly higher upper shock absorber mounting The base motorcycle for this replica is a 2002 model. It therefore presents some of the elements common to the factory motorcycle. I collected the photos and watched the videos from the era to identify the specifics of the factory bike. Carbon headlight plate Carbon fork bridge Lightened wheel axles Carbon Kevlar fork slider protection Flat carbon tank Renthal handles and handlebars. Titanium screws Factory rear wheel Factory rear brake disc Sponsor stickers, decoration (which evolves during the season to take on the colors of the 2001 bike at the end of the 2000 season) Stainless steel factory exhaust manifold (not available) Longer central exhaust (not available) Longer silencer (not available) with straight perforated tube Different brake lines Footrest plates treated without paint Carbon kevlar air box (not available) Golden Iris chain Carbon air box cover with circular opening (from Mitani) I have already made good progress on this bike. I found a real factory rear wheel (from Josep Banyeres) The rim has a special profile. The side has a concave edge (straight on the series) and has no marking. The nuts are ergal against steel on the series. The lighter factory disc is very specific I mounted in series, never marketed. Titanium screws and SKF bearings. Factory Gripster (spacer plus blue aluminum nut) I overhauled the fork, the calipers and master cylinder, the links are new. Handles, handlebars, levers, cable, front & rear disc protectors, swingarm pad, tensioner pad, crown protection etc. Among the new parts that have become unobtainable are the 2000 mudguards and the bashplate. The engine will be completely overhauled. Bearings, spy, connecting rod, piston, plating. Preparation: upper & lower engine alignment, deburring/cleaning of the cylinder, lighter ignition rotor, lighter complete Mitani clutch (treated aluminum discs), straight silencer inner tube, iridium spark plug. Not knowing the engine preparation of the factory motorcycle, failing to have the performance. I want a 250cc that breathes well and sounds clean. New parts: -tires -handlebar -handles -levers -tips -throttle handle -bearings -brake pads -Absolutely all the trim and all the plastic parts. - engine plate -link and rockers - very light special tank - carbon trigger guard and headlight plate -official sponsor stickers -wheel axles -ergal column nut -brake pedal - mitani carbon filter cover, twin air filter - titanium bolts everywhere
  8. Nice silencer not OEM but pretty cool.
  9. When Josep put your bike in his stories ... it's pretty cool. Thank you Josep.
  10. Big titanium bolt delivery today to finish the bike.
  11. Titanium bolt & nut. S3 piston. Big step today. .
  12. I replace all synthetic parts wherever possible on all motorcycles I restore. I couldn't find an intake pipe. It's done. The same goes for the clutch cable and the exhaust pot heat shield. Ideally, I would find a silencer. Otherwise, I will do the repairs on mine.
  13. Cool ! You have the HRC CNC upper triple clamp. Nice part.
  14. Just for show but 100% ready to ride.
  15. I have some project bikes. This Scorpa is one of them. I'm a fan of Hanson racing work on this model. So, this bike is a tribute. All new chain, pads, tires ... New shock absorber buffer. Wheels bearings. Complete front brake system monobloc caliper, Braktec master cylinder and hose. S3 levers, Renthal handlebar. Lubrication chassis. New inlet rubber and airbox rubber. Hanson Racing decals New Green cotton air filter Tensioner, sprocket guard, sherco rear disc guard. Curve S3 footrest S3 handlebar foam Number plate Fuel hose. Jitsie chain tension snails. 4rt wheel axle. CSP gripster nut. Jtisie stickers. Carbon exhaust heat shield. Fork overhaul Future : Repair of the silencer which is sagging on its lower fixings. New carburetor (no gasket kit available. Expensive but essential.) Rear wheel with central rib for waterproofing. Hope you enjoy Alain from France.
  16. I found this bike 2 years ago. I like big alloy frame bikes and the 311 is an interesting model. Not a design masterpiece , not fashion bike, but cool. The bike is in good condition. Let start by the wheels. Cleaning everything, paint job, new bearings (I love working on wheels) I have a brand new platics set. The engine need paint job (main bearings, seals, maybe piston will be replaced) Marzocchi shock need full service. Every rubber parts will be replaced as usual on +20yo bikes ... (carburator, fork, hose, seals, grips, tyres... ) Calipers and master cylinder will be restored. I hope you enjoy Alain from France.
  17. After Ogawa's bike, here is the Colomer replica 1996 project. Special features of this motorcycle compared to the 1997 production version. Morad 36 spoke rims mounted on polished hubs. Païoli fork with DLC treated tubes. (not the 99 model black fork) Brake and clutch hoses with purple banjos. AJP front caliper previous serie with 31.8mm alloy pistons Flat tank Disc protector 314R 1995 “Colomer” headlight and more. AJP caliper with alloy pistons (Grimeca on the 97 model) Wainting the rear hub (lathe work) and crankshaft (new conrod). Titanium bolts ordered. I hope you enjoy Alain from France.
  18. Motegi 2004. Japanese opening round of the world championship. First official release of the replacement bike of the Montesa 315R. The prototype of the RTL250F is presented to the public. Tomoyuki Ogawa will finish 9th. The legend of the 4RT is on the way. Here, I will show you my replica. It's a 2006 4rt. I was able to contact "Gatti"(T.Ogawa nickname) He saw the first photos of the restoration and appreciated this approach. While emphasizing that this motorcycle represented the beginning of the adventure. Adventure during which he piled up the Japanese championship titles on his handlebars. I asked him some questions about this bike regarding the tire brand (Dunlop) and more. The bike is 95% finish. I have the tank stickers and I will refresh the shock. Everything is clean and new. Lot of parts are new. Hope you enjoy Alain from France.
