  1. Mine had a poor connection between the carb and intake boot, I also fitted a air screw adjuster makes all the difference.
  2. Ordered new springs and installed them and set sag, wow what a difference the bike seems to float over obstacles better, hopping the front wheel seems easier (even though I suck at it) and drop offs seem absorbed a lot easier as well, I went with both front and rear springs. I ordered them directly from Beta USA, both springs are one step stiffer then stock 8.0 rear and .88 front I weigh 195lbs, Happy Happy Happy !!
  3. I just bought a lightly used 2015 300 4T and coming from GasGas 280 pro 2T I can honestly say the difference is little, biggest difference is the compression braking. I've learned you need to stay on the gas a little longer when traversing obstacles as to not drop the front end, I love the traction this thing gets and it starts easier then my GasGas. The weight is non existent when riding but at my level ( int ) I'm sure it doesn't make a difference. First thing I did was buy springs front and rear for my weight and dropped the counter shaft sprocket from 10 to 9 with stock 42 in the rear. Cant wait for March when our clubs first trials event happens for the 2016 season.
  4. I have the 2015 300 4T, all stock jetting, runs perfect and will start on first kick and idles perfect you also do notice the difference in the idle when you switch from wet to dry mapping. My question is about the compression popping or backfiring that only happens when off the throttle and going down a hill or sudden compression braking...normal or ?
  5. To me it seems the basics are of most importance here, weigh yourself with your riding gear on and water tool etc, all that you would wear during an event and get the appropriate spring rate for your weight and go from there. That being said Im ordering new springs today.
  6. Ok looked around couldn't find anything, so here goes. Coming from a dirtbike background where proper suspension setup is key, sag, static sag, preload oil weight etc, and now in the trials world I'm being told that spring rate not important unless you are a top level rider. Im curious is this true ? I have a stock suspension 2015 Beta 300 4T and weigh 200lbs and was thinking of getting the stiffer spring rates, will this help with an Intermediate rider ? I did notice in the owners manual heaviest weight for the stock suspension was something like 178lbs.
  7. Was considering doing this since I've run it in all my dirt bikes (Honda, KTM, Yamaha) with great results. I just bought a 2015 Beta 300 4T should I worry about corrosion ? http://www.engineice.com
