  1. Thanks, but that's a female nut that screws onto an M16 thread, I need a M16 male thread one that screws in. Unless I can screw an M16 threaded tube into the boss on the tank and then fit that tap to it?

I've tried Sandiford and Bultacouk/Inmotion with no luck.

  2. Hi there hope someone can help

I've just bought a tank seat unit for my 1973 Cota 247 that has the original fibreglass tank and not the separate aluminium tank. I got it to replace a leaking Ali tank and cover. Unfortunately, the 12mm petrol tap from the ali tank does not fit the fibreglass tank. The tap boss on the fibreglass tank appears to have a 16mm metric thread on it. Unfortunately, the tank came without a petrol tap and none of the usual firms can supply a 16mm petrol tap.

Any ideas on what to do please?

  3. I've had a mazda bongo friendee for four years, they do between 19 and 30 miles per gallon. They are on average 10 years old and need the normal maintenance of any vehicle of that age. There are known overheating issues due to the mid engine and complex cooling arrangemnts. But regular coolant changes (two years) and sensible maintenance care usual stop these problems.

I could not get my Cota 247 in the back with the middle row of seats in but removing them is straightforward but a real pain because of the weight. The upside is that with the seats out the bike would fit and you can still sleep upstairs in the rising roof etc.

You can get then in 2WD and 4WD with or without the rising roof.
