  1. cant get he link to work - any idea where else i can get this info from?
  2. Does anyone know if entries are open yet and where will I get an entry form? Cheers
  3. Never really leaked there, but always dressed it with silicone, leak coming from top right close to where the carb is fitted. No cracks visible so hoping just a clean up and 're gasket.
  4. Will that lever really make that much difference? I need to remove the cover anyway as I have a leak, so will probably use the opportunity to extend it any way, am I right in thinking if I then use this leaver I will lighten it still further? Or . Will using both inhibit the clutch from engaging fully, as the cable is not been 'pulled' enough?
  5. I have read through quite a few topics involving my queries, but I have a couple more queries. I have a Gori 200, 1982, I think is the same of the 1978 red / white model ? I have used the bike sparingly over the last 3 year, it's a great bike, but is let down by the clutch action / performance. When using the clutch adjuster via the hole in the clutch case, I cannot prevent either the clutch dragging, or slipping ( in higher gears), is this a common glitch or is it likely the plates are knackered. I was intending on extending the arm, is there a max amount I can get away with, should the extension, be straight? As the clutch is very heavy, what springs do you recommend and do I fasten them up tight or back them off? I have not stripped it down yet, just wanted some pointers so I know what I can check as I take it apart. All advise appreciated
  6. Should be a belter Scotty, good banter round the fire on the night with a beer or two or.......... as well, hopefully this carp weather will have passed and mother nature will be kind. See you there.
  7. My rev 3 was exactly the same, the fan motor gives a much lower output than say that of a gas gas, when running on tick over or low revs, the fan speed on these bikes increases greatly as the revs are increased, so if you rode a trial, the blast between sections would normally be enough to cool the bike, still not convinced? I wasn't either, but had all the volt outputs measured, they were all fine, had the bike 2 years it was fine.
  8. This will be our 5th year , we only get to use this land once a year If you haven't been, please checkout Paul or my Facebook page, we both have pics on there, action and terrain pics from the last couple of years or you could just ask those who have been. Help make this the best year yet. If anyone can help with observing, please let us know Cheers Steve
  9. Just had confirmation from the Great North Air ambulance (whom we are raising money for) - are supporting the event themselves & that one of there volunteers will be there both days before the start of each day. This is a great charity & all riders in this area may need this service one day - See you all there this weekend. I will not be at the venue from Friday morning, but may get some reception on the evening for anyone with any questions. Remember everyone is welcome.
  10. All Sections sorted now - another 9hrs up there with wri5ty yesterday - all sections sorted, even got some flagged. Stream sections are in fine fettle - and the new woodland sections ride really well. Lets hope mother nature is kind. If any riders can bring an observer with them that would be appreciated. Remember enter at start, in aid of Gt North Air Ambulance. See You there.....
  11. The work for this years Charity 2 day (great North Air Ambulance) is well underway -This Year Sept 8 & 9th A huge amount of work has gone into clearing copious amounts of bracken (worse than previous years) in order to make this the best year yet, Woodhead farm, Fryup is a fantastic piece of land with everything any rider of all abilities will love - Rocks (big & small), streams, Woodlands & hills - The graded hill climb will be back this year. There will be between 7 & 10 sections that are brand new this year, along some of the old favourites. The event has grown year on year and we intend this to be the best so far. The club is intending 15 sections on the Sunday, with 10 or 11 on Saturday - we will be running our 3 route system, so all classes are catered for. Full info is on the events calander -any queries, reply through the thread or contact as listed on the calender. If you havent been, you are missing out This is an open event - everyone welcome - See you there!!
  12. Middlesbrough & DMCs 2 day clubman trial this weekend has been cancelled. Although the sections & parking are excellent & ready to go, the country park area that riders must cross is heavily water logged, meaning with bikes going back & forth the potential of permenant damage was likely in this very public area. As a result the club has taken the responsible decision to cancel & thus eliminate any danger of either damge to the land or in the relationship with the new landowner. The Club has another trial planned for Sat 19th (2 weeks time) at the same venue, which hopefully weather permitting will run. Appologies to those who were planning on riding, but for the future of the event / venue, this is the right decision.
  13. Middlesbrough DMC got the good news from the new owner of 'lordstones' Carlton Bank N.Yorks that they can use the land this year. The club had resigned themselves it would not happen this year, but thankfully the club oficials have pulled it off. May 5/6 Clubman 2 day. Clubman A&B & youth (no D class) - Sections will be dual route, and despite the short notice the eager club team are hopefully going to 'extend' one of the gullies, both above and below what was used previously. Those that rode last year will be welcome to know that the hill climb will be back also. Its a great clubman venue & an enjoyable ride round too. Sat starts at 2.30 & Sunday 11am - enter on the day. (single day accepted) Exp / inters welcome for no award, or maybe come and observe instead? Please bring an observer if you can (can bring bike) If you are not in scotland - get yourself to the trial - you can use Bank Holiday to entertain the wife - its a win win. Regards Steve
  14. These show off the venue, much better, when you have bikes in the pics & not just land - if you were at the trial last year, likely you are in one of the photos - theres 200 - good quality too.
  15. thankfully - one of the farmers had part of their land sprayed - resulting in dead bracken & sections that may have not been discovered for years - would be good if all got done at some time.
  16. That time is approaching........... Middlesbroughs 2 day charity event @ the fantastic woodhead farm Fryup. This is the 3rd year & with all proceeds going to the Great North Air ambulance. Clarkes motorcycles will again sponsor the event that is growing in stature each year. Work has been underway a while now for this years sections, incl some work on the bottom gulley - resulting in even more new sections, there is so much scope at this venue, if you havent been you need to go. This years event is 10/11th sept - there is free camping at the venue - messers Wright & Currey will be there from Fri 1st thing putting the final touches - there will be toilets on site for those up for the merriment (bring your own water). Entry is on the day, & for the lightweights of you out there you can enter 1 day if you wish (there is a discount for entering both). Last year saw several entries from around the country, hopefully you guys will be back...... Everyone is welcome - we can provide local guesthouses info if needed. With regard to sections - there should be something for every one - running all Adult levels from Exp, Inter, Clubman A&B, Youth ABC & a conducted beginner and D class. The club uses it's 3 route system which several other clubs in the centre are now starting to adopt. I will keep this thread updated, or Wri5ty will - info is on the calendar or TMX - or just drop me a line. If anyone is available to observe we really need your help. Looking forward to a good weekends sport
  17. Thanks - Much appreciated - now you have said it, it's quite obvious really - i will get it sorted after putting on this weekends little 2 day we are having.
  18. I have a Moto Gori 125, bored out to 175cc - i have been told, though not done any measurements...... Please can anyone confirm the correct amount of engine oil i need, the rotax unit is a big lump & would imagine would need a fair bit. Only rode a couple of trials on it - if anyone is interested, bike could also be for sale. thanks
  19. Just got off the phone to John Simpson......... Camping confirmed, toilets (proper plumbed ones) will be open - he also confirmed, clean water should be plentyful. Camp area will be close to the cafe, where there is also a 'fire pit' so good banter can be had 'around the fire. Camping looks great & will also be fine for caravans...... Hopefully i wont be the only one sat round the fire & crying into my beer. As wri5ty has broke his hand - Had'nt you heard???? Fell of a uni cycle!!!!! might need to lock up your beer as he will not need to worry about a hangover. See you there (hopefully)
  20. All sections sorted - keep fingers crossed for good weather Hoping for 10 sections on the saturday & 11 on sunday, so if you can observe your time will be most appreciated - if you have a bike, bring it & ride to your section. Graded hill has been extended & should offer a good challenge. Work has been done on each gully to give longer sections in some places - with a double sub both days - different sections each day (not just re hashed) Everyone welcome (exp/inter for no award - though it would be nice to see if 1 or 2 turned up to observe for us wobblers??) Remeber sat at 2.30, sunday 11am - camp on saturday night. See you there........
  21. I have sold my last 2 bikes on e-bay & never lied about either - both were bought with no complaints, People can push there luck - sometimes it is luck of the draw. I have bought 2 bikes from E-bay, both needed work, but did'nt pay much, like has been said - you get what you pay for......................
  22. The Clubman 2 day at Lordsones cafe run by Middlesbrough DMC will take place on Sat/Sun 7&8th May. (it may the only time it runs). The Landowner has sold the land & Cafe, as yet have not been in touch with the potential new owner - THIS MAY BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE. Classes for Clubman A&B and Youth over the same sections. All sections will be dual route, so will suit a wide spectrum of abilities. This is an Open Event - so everyone is welcome! Exp/inter welcome on no award basis. Those that rode the single day events at the venue last year will know what to expect, but if you have not been before a couple of excellent gullies (& yes the double sub will be in again this year) along with some great climbs (the graded hill has been lengthened also). The guys have already been working up there and have extended one of the gullies & intend to run totally seperate sections each day. Anyone able to observe would be great (we stuggled last year), they can bring there bike. 2.30 on Sat 11am on Sunday close at start - 1 day entry available, but you wont get an award Camping on sat night - those of you that have been to Lordstones before will know it is licenced (opening times not yet confirmed) , John Simpson is very welcoming & happy to have us there, however any riding before or after the event will result in immediate exclusion. Lordstones is in a spectacular location at the top of Carlton Bank between Chop Gate & Carlton N.Yorks For further info - drop me a line - hope to see you all there.............. Remember keep it in 1st!
  23. I am a shorty too & the physical size of the bike won't really have a bearing on your height. As you say you are new to trials so stay away from the 'fire breathing 270 / 280 / 290 / 300 / 320 size bikes. although the 300/320 size bikes can be nice and docile at slow speeds - they have tremendous power throughout & can sap strength. the obvious choice is a 250 - the common choice, though i would suggest going for a 200 - this does however really narrow your choice. really as long as you are enjoying the ride it does'nt matter what you get - you will adapt & develop with the bike.
